Field Sales Account Manager, Channel Sales and Activation

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Experience in carrier channel field sales and operations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the hardware go-to-market landscape in retail, carrier, and distribution channels.
  • Knowledge of carrier channel, economics, incentives, and operational dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

About the job

The Hardware Partnerships team was formed with the purpose of bringing the best of Google’s software and hardware to our users by bringing to market and distributing a Google-branded hardware portfolio. The team is responsible for managing all partnerships with carriers, retailers, and resellers worldwide. This Pixel Mobile Products team includes the partnerships for products such as Pixel, Pixel Watch, Tablet, and Buds.

As the Field Sales Account Manager for Canada, you will be responsible for developing programs and driving sell-out management activities across all partners, channels, and categories. In this role, you will work through partner's territory leadership relationships, vendor field sales team performance management, training and advocacy programs, coverage plan optimization, launch planning and execution, assisted sales, and incentive programs.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sellout of consumer hardware products through our carrier partners in Canada.
  • Provide support to customers who engage with Google’s products or carrier sales representatives in all channels of partners, and ensure they have the opportunity to experience Google’s ecosystem, hardware, software, and services.
  • Design and lead programs to launch and drive sellout across retail, indirect, call centers, SMB, and online through enhancing knowledge, advocacy, and execution in stores.
