Marketing Category Manager, Creative and Production, Google Procurement

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in procurement, leading marketing or advertising category sourcing or strategy development, or a related function within an advertising agency or marketing.
  • Experience working with vendor manager or advertising agencies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree.
  • Experience supporting global initiatives from strategy to execution, delivering results that optimize strategies, streamline operations, and introduce innovative solutions.
  • Experience influencing and negotiating with cross-functional teams consisting of various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of creative and social campaign processes.
  • Ability to develop/execute strategic plans, leveraging stakeholder engagement, contract management, supplier analysis, and performance optimization, while effectively communicating/resolving complex issues.
  • Ability to utilize technology/analytics to optimize category management strategies, resulting in data-driven decisions that enhance performance and profitability.

About the job

In this role, you will partner closely with key stakeholders to help shape and implement procurement strategies. You will be responsible for developing and driving category strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and bringing excellence to Google wide sourcing, supplier, and contract management.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Analyze data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Information (RFI) processes and negotiations with marketing agencies.
  • Build strong agency relationships for optimal service.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations, Product Marketing, and other teams to align procurement with business goals.
  • Monitor compliance, track performance, and stay informed on industry trends and best practices.
