Corporate Security Officer, Google Cloud Public Sector (German, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience delivering cyber outcomes, identifying mission risks, and devising solutions to combat public sector focused threats.
  • Experience with the German secret protection process, VS clearances, personnel security checks, and sabotage protection.
  • Experience with ISO27001 standard, NIS2, CSA, EUCC, EUCS, SOC2 National guidelines: TR2102, TR03185, CRA, GDPR, NIS2 Umsetzung und Cybersicherheitsstärkungsgesetz, DORA, Data and EU Artificial Acts.
  • Ability to communicate in German and English fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in German and English with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in dealing with German authorities.
  • Experience in preparing and supporting internal and external audits.
  • Experience in the support and further development of an ISMS.
  • Knowledge of state of the art technology in the area of information security.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop documentation and explain technical details in a concise manner.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and design a cybersecurity organization in close coordination with the both Google and the clients leadership.
  • Develop and implement a corporate information security strategy based on national, European and international standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage cyber risks and comply with the required national, European, and international standard family for information security (e.g., ISO/IEC 27K, SOC2, SOC3, C5, EUCS, GDPR).
  • Work as a security officer in secret protection.
  • Represent the company in various working groups. Present information security in a public sector and agencies.
