Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience influencing executive clients and stakeholders, and driving results in agile environments.
  • Experience managing/developing sales teams to deliver results with a shared insight and purpose, with the ability to propose creative technologies across a diverse landscape of decision makers.
  • Experience in sales/operations management, strategic planning, with the ability to align strategies and deliver customer business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of customer business objectives, with the ability to develop joint business plans in ambiguous environments.
  • Knowledge of Google Ad Solutions, video advertising (e.g., AI-powered Performance, CTV, AI-powered Video) and the key competitor landscape across brand media advertising.

Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

As a Head of Industry, you will identify and enable longer-term opportunities for multiple customers by leading joint business plan development, account-level strategy, annual activation plans, developing new customer relationships and new business growth streams. You will lead the team in delivering work including sales strategy development, pitching, customer relationship growth and opportunity sizing. You will also influence cross-team collaborations to support customer growth, align on opportunity/project timelines and goals.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$268,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Structure a clear, long-term joint strategy between Google and clients, and lead a cross-functional team within Google to collaborate on projects and drive client success.
  • Plan for growth goals through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet marketing objectives.
  • Build knowledge of how Google advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives. 
  • Build and manage relationships with clients and senior partner stakeholders, and develop a comprehensive understanding of their business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Manage a team of Account Executives, set and communicate team priorities, and make decisions and support activities that align with Google’s values.
