As a Legal Policy Specialist, you will work on tasks within the scope of a policy project that have meaningful impact with direct supervision. You will address day-to-day policy issues and develop an understanding of policy development and implementation. You will also engage in community contributions to improve our culture and operations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $87,000-$125,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Process removal requests efficiently and accurately, including Privacy issues, Defamation issues, court orders, law enforcement requests and requests from government agencies.
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding YouTube's legal removals processes.
  • Work within a team to identify and improve processes, operational quality and scalability.
  • Assist in developing internal and external educational materials, and in designing new workflows to support the strategic directions of the business.
  • Review graphic, controversial and sometimes offensive video content.
