Content Specialist Lead, Trust and Safety, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, business strategy, or related fields.
  • 1 year of experience in people management, as a lead, or coaching or mentoring others.
  • Ability to work non-standard on-call rotation work hours including weekends.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in content moderation policy, anti-abuse, and reviewing online content.
  • Experience identifying abuse trends or working in news or policy.
  • Experience managing multiple workflows, with the ability to shift focus as per the business requirement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action.

Responsibilities

  • Review and manage a team of Content Specialists working on multiple controversial content areas, helping to ensure the team sets clear priorities and manages its time effectively.
  • Build a team that is flexible and agile, capable of being deployed across programs and workflows according to shifting business priorities and challenges.
  • Set strategy and lead the Content Specialist team to cover a wide variety of content abuse across multiple YouTube community guidelines verticals. Track and monitor performance towards key metrics, deliver and implement improvement strategies.
  • Communicate clearly to a variety of cross-functional partners including executive leadership, operations managers, and tech partners regarding the state of the Content Specialist performance, opportunities and initiatives and on priority and time sensitive escalations to ensure user safety and positive creator experience.
