Partner Development Manager, Database Partnerships, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, focusing on Databases, Data Analytics, DevOps or Generative AI ISVs.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree or JD.
  • Experience escalating and presenting key issues and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, structure agreements, interpret legal documents, and work with legal teams to sign and manage agreements.
  • Ability to grasp complex technical and product concepts.
  • Ability to grow in fast-paced, collaborative, and ambiguous start-up like environments where thoughtfulness, an entrepreneurial mindset, persistent execution, and relationships drive success.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The Global Database Partnerships team develops and supports strategic enterprise partnerships and the partner ecosystem across Google Cloud, Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Maps and Education. We work closely with external partners and across Google’s product management, engineering, marketing and all customer-facing organizations to foster tighter integration by partners with Google's open APIs across Google's products. Through these technical and business partnerships, we seek to build joint success, customer multipliers and an ecosystem of partners aimed at delighting customers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $211,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Guide managing partner engagement and relationship by tracking business/technology metrics and insights, building business forecasts, and ensuring strong brand/reputation management.
  • Oversees strategic relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders/teams to drive the best partner experience and ensure product excellence.
  • Manage partner experience to ensure agreement integration, including negotiating and finalizing agreements, executing on account plans, pitching to partners, resolving partner issues and advocating on behalf of the partner.
  • Administer partner strategy, including new partner and opportunity prospecting.
  • Conduct partner/industry research and collaborate on product strategy.
