Manager, Trust and Safety Market Responsibility Specialists (English, Hindi)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, business strategy, or related fields.
  • 1 year of experience in people management, as a lead, or coaching or mentoring others.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Hindi fluently to identify abuse trends.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in driving large, cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to influence and drive consensus across cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent team management and problem-solving skills, with ability to frame solutions using data, create processes, and drive sustained business change.
  • Excellent technical, investigative, and communication skills.

As a Manager in the Market Responsibility Specialists team, you will be responsible for managing critical operations in the Indian market. You will require thinking through the challenges of a broad array of policy areas layered with local context while overseeing workflows by providing local inputs/recommendations to enforce product policies accurately and efficiently. You will review violative video content in line with the product Community Guidelines. You will require occasional on-call work on weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a team Lead in the Market Responsibility Specialist team, in addition to India market focus.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, and leverage market expertise to identify key abuse trends in the Indian market, monitor emerging sensitive events, and highlight risks to the YouTube ecosystem and Trust and Safety.
  • Speak Hindi and another local language fluently in order to effectively identify and propose policy improvements based on market nuances, and support language detection, automation, language quality improvements, and local product launches.
  • Triage threats, prepare risk assessments and action plans based on market knowledge and act as the main point of contact.
  • Drive and support the launch of news-related product features, as well as other responsibility projects in the region, and communicate effectively.
