Finance Analyst, Devices and Services, Non-Phones Portfolio

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience in coding or SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Consulting, Investment Banking, Telecommunications or Consumer Electronics.
  • Experience in FP&A or project management, with effective process improvement.
  • Experience with AI/ML models, and ability to incorporate AI/ML to automate and streamline work.
  • Understanding of accounting and finance operations.
  • Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills, with the ability to multi-task and apply initiative and creativity on challenging projects.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations including forecasting of various Profit and Loss line items up to net business partnering closely with global finance teams and regional business stakeholders.
  • Review and approve campaigns in salesforce and maintain Retail Incentive Budget to ensure promos are captured accurately, budgets are managed within guidance for full year and each quarter.
  • Develop tools and data infrastructure to measure the effectiveness of different initiatives for a range of audiences, including executives.
  • Partner with country finance leads to efficiently launch products in markets including expansion and changes in pricing structure.
  • Increase efficiency in operations through automation and standardization leveraging AI/ML.
