Product Manager, Data Indexing

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience in communicating with clients who are first-party or third-party engineers.

We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to gather requirements and analyze feature gaps with the indexing platform. Summarize, present, and prioritize feature requests to the Data Indexing engineering team, team leads, and clients.
  • Align with clients on the onboarding timelines and set joint Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Work with Product Management and engineering leads throughout the organization to shape the future direction of the product.
  • Partner with Product Management and engineering of crawling and serving backend systems to provide a coherent development experience.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including UX and Tech Writer to summarize findings and propose changes to improve product APIs/SDKs and documentation.
