Practice Specialist, Speech

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in application to speech-related tasks (i.e., conversation generation or speech synthesis), speech recognition, and related algorithms.
  • 5 years of experience with conversational applications, chatbots, voice assistants, or similar technologies.
  • Experience in Python.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with contact center technologies and platforms.
  • Experience in building and deploying speech recognition systems (e.g., commercial or open source).
  • Experience working with cloud-based platforms (e.g. Google Cloud Vertex Platform).
  • Familiarity with speech processing tools and frameworks (e.g., Librosa, Audacity, iZotope, etc.).

As a Practice Specialist, you'll serve as a trusted advisor, adept at understanding customer challenges in speech related fields. You'll guide customers through practical deployment and maintenance of speech systems, collaborating to design tailored solutions. You will translate customer needs into actionable technical strategies, create high-quality technical content, and lead workshops. You'll collaborate across teams to ensure smooth implementation, proactively gather customer feedback, and stay at the forefront of speech technology advancements to contribute to the development of new products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, understanding and addressing customer challenges in speech related fields.
  • Guide customers through the practical challenges of deploying and maintaining speech systems, covering topics like data preprocessing, speaker diarization, model monitoring, and feature management.
  • Create and deliver high-quality technical content (e.g., best practice guides, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, presentations) for diverse audiences, ranging from technical specialists to business decision-makers.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, engineering, product) to ensure seamless implementation and integration of speech solutions into customers' production environments.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, sharing expertise and building relationships with key stakeholders.
