Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety regulations and best practices.

As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Program Manager, you will advocate safety and sustainability on a regional scale. You will lead cross-functional projects to improve EHS practices across various stakeholder teams at Google, impacting the well-being of our employees. You will combine strategic leadership, collaboration, and industry expertise.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are a diverse, upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Identify, organize, and lead program activities and stakeholders to deliver business, operational, and technical improvements within the Environmental Health and Safety domain.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for program initiatives, ensuring alignment with Google's overall Environmental Health and Safety goals.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in Environmental Health and Safety and submarine cable landing/operations.
  • Scope, phase, and lead ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational issues, including delivering downstream change management, alongside the stakeholder team.
  • Monitor and track program performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans.
