Director of Performance Media, Media Lab, Global

Minimum qualifications:

  • 18 years of experience managing digital direct response campaigns, and managing client/agency teams.
  • Experience with B2C and B2B audience targeting tactics, including subscription and in-app related tactics.
  • Experience delivering direct response solutions that result in measurable growth.
  • Experience working with the Google Ads stack.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading customer experience testing and optimizations throughout the customer journey (e.g., ad creative, ad placement, offline attribution, landing page experience, conversion forms, post-conversion relationship, A/B and multivariate testing, etc.).
  • Experience leading complex technical projects, including ability to translate marketing needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience in direct response media globally.
  • Knowledge of measurement approaches (including MMM/MMT, attribution, and sales/LTV performance drivers), ad tech operation fundamentals, data/targeting vendors, and the broader media landscape.
  • Ability to leverage the Google Ads stack in a future-forward manner rooted in privacy-preserving technologies.

About the job

As the Global Performance Media Director, you are a dedicated leader, driving meaningful business growth across B2C and B2B products. You will focus on driving direct response media growth strategies and will drive the execution via internal and external partnerships with the ultimate aim of driving incremental growth for Google’s B2C and B2B products according to business goals. You will be responsible for building executive-level relationships across Google Sales, Product, and Marketing, sharing results, thought-leadership, and input. Further, you will clearly articulate the business impact and growth opportunities to key partners, which you will also address via thoughtful plans. All while contributing to Google Marketing’s Global Media Center of Excellence as a key global leader.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $243,000-$350,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Act as a key client point of contact for management of all Google direct response media planning, buying, and optimization. Act as primary performance media contact and orchestrator for all media activity, overseeing team members assigned to key pieces of business.
  • Oversee development and presentation of business reviews and growth opportunity assessments, covering B2C and B2B performance media efforts.
  • Manage and grow DR Media team capabilities, including those of direct reports and agency partners globally.
  • Ensure global implementation and QA of best practices across media and DR creative, while improving processes to ensure structured management of direct response campaigns.
  • Own agency relationships and prioritize agency work flow, as well as overseeing key platform relationships on-Google-stack and off.
