    Google is proud to call Texas home to our data centers.

    In June of 2019, Google officially broke ground on our $600 million data center in Midlothian, Texas. In 2023, Google announced a second $600 million Ellis County data center campus in nearby Red Oak. Our data centers employ a number of people in a variety of full-time and contractor roles, including computer technicians, engineers, and various food services, maintenance, and security roles.

    Why did Google choose Ellis County?

    Ellis County has the right combination of energy infrastructure, developable land, and available workforce for the data center.
