My '72 burb is Light Yellow with a white top. It needs paint, which I plan on doing this summer. Please post your pics of trucks this color to help me get motivated! Sorry for the double post, I wasn't paying attention to where I was...

Not a truck but it is deffinately yellow. I saw it at the Pate Museum at the Texas Motor Speedway.

I'm looking for more with the color on the '68 at the top of the thread. What years was this color (Light Yellow on the option sheet, I've heard some people call it Yellow-green) available?

How about this one. I think it was featured in Truck Builder or one of the other magazines awhile ago. I kinda like this color, don't see 'em everyday.

That's what I did.
First I was convinced to paint my truck in the original bronze/white two tone paint scheme but after seeing a couple trucks painted in the grapefruit/white two tone paint scheme i did reconsider.

That pale yellow was called Grapefruit in`72.but something else before that.It`s funny,I always thought it was Wheatland Yellow because I have a`72 K/5 with original paint,it`s that color,but says Wheatland on the VIN-spec sheet.I`ve since learned Wheatland is that kind of sunshine yellow they had in 69/70.

My 68 is still wearing the factory 520 light yellow with the white top. I have gotton to really like it but no one else seems to care for it much. I think its hard to go wrong with any factory color.

WOW! I saw the title and immediately thought this must be an old thread from when tis site was all one message board...everything combined. Even parts were mixed in. Sure enoiugh, it's from '06, then a 6 year jump to '12 with one post, and now a 5 year jump for another post. Old treads never die, they just have really old dates! I can't believe how many people showed the wrong shade yellow. Do that with one picture now and you'd have 1/2 dozen people telling you it's the wrong color and what the codes are. We've become quite educated here.
