Pictures of Trucks with Color Code 512 Dark Green

Trying to find some pictures of trucks with the 512 Dark green paint... It looks more like a bluish green. I've only seen one on the forum so far...

My Burb is paint code 512. It was repainted once by PO and it is fairly close to original, but obviously the original paint left on indide of back doors etc. is much more dull.

Thanks for the picture! Your 'Burb definately looks sharp.. I bought a gallon of it to spray my C-30 with and can't decide if I want to go with it or get a different color (it was the origninal color of the parts truck)

The wheels are from MB Motorsports - sold at and from Tire Rack I believe. The wheels were on the truck. I replaced the rubber - just 235 70 17 Goodrich TA's, nothing very big.

I had a Blazer that Color,as well as a '52 and my '92 K3500. It's also known as Woodland Green and is a fleet color that never changes.

Do you mean this is still a GM Fleet color available today? I have been going back and forth between painting my truck Dk. Olive and that woodland green. But it is hard to find pics of trucks painted woodland green. Do you have any others??

Here's one I found it was the original color of my truck till the PO went with the Blue/White. It still bugs me the SPID says green in a blue truck.

Just picked up a 72 w org paint, seams olive and dark olive were more common..

When I had my C-30 painted (in my avatar), the code was 512 Dark green and that is the original color... I guess in later years the 512 switched to the olive color? I was kind of surprised to see all the other colors show up on this thread a while ago... Only the first one is the same as the 512 Dark green I have

Even the burb looks a bit more "emerald" where as mine is just green. No metallic. Has has prior hood and upper fender repainted. Need to get that fixed up.......Just kinda an odd color compared to all the olive ones..

PS: Clean looking flat bed on your 30.

512 is a Dark Blue Green Poly used in 70-71 (Ditzler code 2206) Looks like a few of these trucks here are actually 505 which is a very similar but non-metallic color. There was also a lighter 529 med blue green poly in 70 as well.

Well that took some digging but apparently your 69 was red and, in fact, you painted it the 512 color of you 70 parts truck, is this correct?

Did some color crosses to the 512 and there are few.
The GM paint cross reference codes 5183, WE5183, U5183 and L5183 are all coming back as only 70-71.
The Ditzler code 2206 has crosses but the only exact is an 83 Chrysler fleet application. BMW did use a very similar color from 60-74 Ditzler coded l2206.

You are correct! Forgot that I used the paint code from a 1970 instead of 1969, should have stated that... Should have said it was an original color from then (although most of my truck IS from that parts truck )

I did have paint mixed up at two different stores (one a PPG product, another a Dupont product- had trouble with one of them), and they were both the same blue/green metallic type color... I guess the other trucks that people posted are the 505 green??

Yeah,I posted 505. I guess I lost track of the code in the thread somewhere and just posted by what I saw or thought I saw and responded to request for the color I showed. Also,no year was ever mentioned,I don't think. GM even called both colors Dark Green in '72. Sorry for the distraction.

That was at the ATCA national show on Fathers Day weekend. I only got that one because it was so packed in there.
