If I'm not mistaken didn't Dick Johnson race one of the JPS cars after he moved on from his green 85 mustang?

BTW DJ is a hero of mine, really an incredible driver.

And what happens when you cross a Maserati with a Chrysler? The Chrysler TC by Maserati. The Maserati designed body was supposed to come out before the new Lebaron, but ended up being delayed making people think it was based on the cheaper car. A 200hp 16v 2.2 turbo was an optional engine.

I have been educated by FEP. I saw this yesterday during Cruisin the Coast on the Ms. Gulf Coast. At first I thought it was just a regular Chrysler until I saw the Maserati emblem on it. I then told my wife to take a picture. Sorry for the bad pic. She tried to get a shot of it above the windshield and by the time she figured out that it was a bad pic the car was gone. But just in case anyone wondered what my hood looks like there you go. I had never heard of these before and had it not been for this thread I would have seen this car and been clueless as to what it was.

Wow. Neat thread. I saw a Buick Reatta on the road last Thursday. Ran across one of those Chrysler/Maserati things at a show not long ago too. Looked just like the showroom one posted even.

First page... AMC Sprit LOVE those cars. My dad and I had one back around 98/99 or so. My cousin drove it through HS, then sold it to us after it sitting a few years. Everyone thought the car was ugly and didn't want to be seen in it or near it. But it was one of the neatest cars I've ever had. Still miss it I've been looking for another one, but the prices have gone way up it seems.

For me, this one is more than forgotten. I never even knew it existed as a convertible. It might be a Hess conversion.

    Rare 1987 Dodge Daytona Pacifica.

T-top, auto tarns, 40000 on 2.2 turbo rebuilt, very clean, AC needs repair. $4,000.00 OBO.

This would be cool to own. I could see me cruising around with the t-tops off.

Even though everyone thinks this is a Toyota Supra, it's actually a Nissan 200SX.

2.0 4 Cylinder, REAR WHEEL DRIVE, 5 Speed Standard Shift.

Runs Great, Cold A/C. Everyone looks at this car...when was the last time you saw one? One owner, title was changed when owner relocated from Missouri to Alabama in 1997. Considered an Antique so it is exempt from emmisions testing and eligible for antique plates and registration.

Odometer reads 168k, but not working, looks like it stopped working last year according to the Carfax entries.

One of a kind, fun 80's classic....you gotta love those rear window louvres!

1989 started the first gen probe. The GT was a 2.2l intercooled turbo. It was plenty fast and handled pretty well. 1992 was the last year for the first gen Probe. I had one in LX trim and a 3.0 V6. It made 33mpg and it didn't matter if you were driving like a maniac or civil. Very quick and quite comfortable for long drives. I'd routinely drive home from Camp Lejeune NC which is about 1058mi to my front door on a 72-96hr pass. These probes are over shadowed by the 2nd gen which in all reality are less of a car. The 2.5 became the GT (non turbo) and the 2.0 4cyl was either the base or the SE. The 2.5 could barely beat the old 3.0 and it would never touch the 2.2turbo. Plus made poor mileage and had ignition issues.

I've had over a dozen Toyota pickups and I always wanted the one from back to the future too. This 84 was the closest I ever came to it.

Looking back now I think it's hideous. Red and gold wheels, purple and green pinstripes, and the sweet faded paint job as a result of not having enough green paint. And yes that's duct tape holding the bed together. But it was 1992 and I loved the thing.

    I really miss this one.

That was my senior yearbook photo. My dad's truck he bought new in the fall of 81. I wound up with it in 96 and repainted it, lifted it, and then traded it 6 months later. Still kicking myself for that one.
