Paint experts, help please! I can't figure out from paint book and spid. 1970 c10 custom. Are there some yellows miss from that page?

The 597 on your SPID is the two tone code for 520 yellow and 521 white. I really like the color combo on those.

You're awesome! I wish I could give you some rep points.
I would have guessed the the other lighter yellow due to my spid saying light yellow.

Do you mind sharing your knowledge on how you figured that out so I can be more informed. I searched the site and couldn't find anything explaining it.

Where would I find that? I did share a pic of the sticker on the glovebox door. But I did not share the vin number. What are the number positions on the vin that would give that info and I'll share them.

Re: Which yellow is my truck?

EDIT: Oops, didn't see the door pic at first, only saw the jamb - thanks for sharing. Early in production year is what I was hoping to confirm and it is. Believe, but not confirmed, that 520 was discontinued sometime during the 70 model year on series 10-30. 597 is the "Special Two Tone" version of 520 light yellow and 521 frost white, available 69-70 only. It causes a little confusion in 70 because that was also the introduction year for 525 grapefruit yellow which continued thru 72. Grapefruit Yellow is sometimes referred to as Light Yellow on SPIDs (that, and the fact that 519 yellow is ID'ed as "Dark Yellow" on SPIDs, 525 grapefruit yellow is the lighter of the two).

Found it. I updated the pick on my previous post. 11/69.
It is a 1970c10 custom. So what does that mean? I got 1969 paint scheme on a 1970 truck? I would love to know all I can about this truck. I got it at an estate sale. Previous owner past away years ago and family did know much on truck history other than he was 2nd owner

Thanks! I wasn't a fan of it at first. But it grew on me and I love it now. It definitely stands out and grabs attention.

No, it is correct and original for your 70. It's just possibly a paint scheme that was discontinued later in the model year. Again, not confirmed. But you have 70 paint.

And the codes are correct? 520 yellow and 521 white

Just curious why they would have used light yellow in the spid and not just yellow like in the paint book.

Re: Which yellow is my truck?

the SPID wording doesn't matter, only the codes - yes 520/521 in special two tone=RPO 597.
