I was very confused about which models were produced in which years, so I started doing some research to figure it out and realized that all of the information was available on the Maserati Web site, but it was spread out over many pages and i needed it in a concise manner.  Before i realized it, i had made almost enough notes to create this page, so i made a few more and went to work.

This is a breakdown of the different models and body styles of Biturbos that were produced.  I extracted all of this information from www.Maserati.com , so if there is a disagreement about the accuracy, take it up with the manufacturer.  There does seem to be some overlap of years and they may not necessarily be using model years, or they changed in mid model year.  With the help of the BiturboZentrum Yahoo Group , there have been some corrections made to what Maserati has incorrectly posted, but all of these changes were verified by multiple individuals and usually by actual owners of the cars in question.

The first table is chronological and the second is separated by major body style (Coupe, Saloon, and Spyder).   In the second table, I chose to put the Karif with the Coupes and with the Spyders since it basically a hardtop Spyder.  The yellow blocks are models which were for the Italian market or I am unsure about.  The orange blacks are models which were produced primarily for export.

A total of 37,966 Biturbos were produced over a 17 year period under the 46 different model names listed here.  This does not separate the badged "E" form the ES or the Ghiblis from the Ghibli GTs they became.  There are probably other names that appeared in some places as well, but I am not currently aware of those.
