well there has been plenty of talk here and elsewhere about restoring the paint, particulary on red cars.

well having had my little bump in the Zr i was handed the fmaily Nova to get by, and wanting to tidy it up i spent four hours on the following

it started shape like this

(more found here)

and with an awful "oxidised" shine

so i set to work

washed it then on the T-cut
(half done, half not)

same shot different view

Full T-cut

then i got the clay bar out

then i polished it

i only did the passenger side door, front wing and bonnet but when i finished i was pleased and to see the results!

before and after shots

edit: oh and big thanks to Marshall who gave me the inspiration after i saw this thread long ago http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=353412

we bought it in 1990 for £2000, i had it in 2002 when i turned 17, then i passed it to my bro when he hit 17, the one silver lining to my collision was that my brother hadnt got round to buying a new car like he said he was doing since Easter!

I've seen this a couple of times and i swear its wrong. I'm pretty sure your supposed to clay the car before t cutting/polishng 'cus the clay removed any bedded in contaminants from the paint and gives the polish a better surface to work on.
