    Shelby Renee McIntosh, age 25, wife of Phillip G. McIntosh, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 at her home.
    She was born January 20, 1998 in Lexington, Kentucky to Santford and Jackie Rankin Walters.
    Survivors include her husband, Phillip McIntosh; two sons, Ledger Jackson McIntosh and English Wilder McIntosh; a step-son, Jamison Avery McIntosh; her father, Santford Walters (Pricilla); her mother, Jackie Rankin Walters; two brothers, Justin Walters and Jeremy Walters; her grandmother, Elaine Walters; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
    Services will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023, 11:00 at Wells Funeral Home, 777 West College Avenue, Stanton, by Bro. Rob Rice. Visitation will beheld Tuesday, December 5th, 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
    Burial will be in the King-Napier Cemetery with Phillip McIntosh, Justin Walters, Jeremy Walters, Jonathon McIntosh, James Townsend, and Patrick McCoy serving as pallbearers.

    She was born July 7, 1962 to the late Robert Chester and Ora Lee Barnes Jones.
    Survivors include two brothers, Danny Jones and Travis Jones; and a sister, Lisa Bailey.
    Services will be held Monday, December 4, 2023, 12 Noon, at Wells Funeral Home, 777 West College Avenue, Stanton. Visitation also be Monday from 10 a.m. - 12 Noon at the funeral home.

George Richard Williamson Jr.

    George Richard Williamson Jr., age 77, husband of Laura Elizabeth Baker Williamson, passed away at his home in Waco, Kentucky, on Friday, December 1, 2023, after a long illness
    He was born on January 21, 1946, in DeWitt, Knox County, Kentucky to the late George Richard Williamson Sr. and the late Ruby Carnes Williamson.
    George grew up in Booneville, Kentucky, graduating from Owsley County High School in 1964. He later attended Eastern Kentucky University, graduating with both a Bachelor's and Master of Arts degrees in Education. He and his wife, Elizabeth, were members of the Booneville Baptist Church.
    He served the community for 25 years as a public school teacher. He was a dedicated instructor, coach, mentor, friend, and role model to many children growing up in Estill County. Years after his retirement, many still refer to him today as their all-time favorite teacher.
    George was also well-known for his other varied interests and lifelong learning. He had an extensive knowledge of ancient Native American artifacts. He was often noted for his expertise in the minerology of Kentucky, focusing on Agates. George also enjoyed fishing, basketball, and discussing history; especially that of the American Civil War.
    Most of all, he will be remembered as a kind and gentle man. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
    Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth; one son, George Richard Williamson III (Stacie); one brother, William Robert Williamson (Shirley); two sisters, Ann Williamson Teague (Paul) and Patricia Williamson Thomas (Bill); two step-grandchildren, Brianna S. Claypoole and Shawn K. Claypool; along with five great grandchildren. Many other nieces and nephews who fondly called him "Uncle Jar-Jar" also survive.
    Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Searcy and Strong Funeral Home, 1694 Old Kentucky 11, Booneville. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 6th at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in downtown Booneville.
    Pallbearers include Shawn Claypool, Brandon Lawrence, Jason Tirey, Emmett Mastin, Bill Gabbard and Bobby Bell.

James Franklin Campbell

    James Franklin Campbell, age 87, husband of Wanda Howell Campbell, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.
    He was born December 4, 1935 in Menifee County, Kentucky to the late Alex and Gladys Esther Trimble Campbell. He was a member of the Stanton Church of God.
    Survivors include his wife, Wanda Campbell; five sons, James Campbell, David Campbell, Hursel Campbell, Ray Shearer, and David Shearer; six daughters, Barbara Flannery, Neva Kovach, Betty Hurt, Sherry Brady, Pam Johnson, and Shannon Moore; three brothers, Keith Campbell, Tom Campbell, and Lee Campbell; two sisters, Connie Sue Grissinger and Jeanette Francis Egelston; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Gladys Campbell; one son, Jimmy Shearer; a brother, David Letcher Campbell; and sisters, Agnes Cooper and Nancy Egelston.
    Services will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023, 2 p.m., by Bro. Anthony Molihan at Wells Funeral Home, 777 West College Avenue, Stanton. Visitation was held Monday, December 4th, 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Anna Margaret “Marge” Davis

    Anna Margaret “Marge” Davis, age 99, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Irvine Nursing and Rehab Center following a short illness.
    She was born April 26, 1924, in Estill County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Enoch and Ida Mae Crowe Stamper. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Time Baptist Church. She was also a charter member of the Easter Valley Baptist Church in 1953. She had lived in Estill County all her life.
    Mrs. Davis is survived by two daughters, Treva Wilson of Estill County; and Delana Stelly of Fayette County; two sons, Joseph Mike Davis (Deborah) and Edward L. Davis, both of Estill County; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Prentice Roberts and Woodrow W. Davis; one daughter, Leila G. Brinegar; three sisters, Delberta Ingram, Velma Allen, and Sara Neal; three brothers, Junior, Jess, and Virgil Stamper; two grandchildren, Tracy Michelle Messer and Mark Thomas Thornbury; one daughter-in-law, Vickie Davis; and two sons-in-law, Forester Brinegar and Robert Stelly.
    Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, December 4, 2023, 11 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Chaney and Bro. Sam Miller officiating. Burial will be at the Hoover Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 3rd from 6-9 p.m.

    Vondra Coomer Rose, 67, wife of Kim Rose, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, Kentucky.
    She was born July 28, 1956 in Jackson, Kentucky to the late Shelby Vernon and Ruth Lockard Coomer.
    Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Kim Rose; her children, Benjamin Rose (Veronica), Christen Spencer, Afton Jett (Lee), and Clint Rose (Makena); her grandchildren, Morgan Rose, Chloe Rose, Allyson Spencer, Brette Spencer, Lillee Jett, Brayden Jett, Caroline Jett, and Carlee Jett; two brothers, Dennis Coomer and Paul Brewer; and five sisters, Sharon Brewer, Lenora Spray, Elaine Cole, Kathy Smith, and Anita Sharma.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Shelby Vernon Coomer her mother, Ruth Lockard Coomer; and her step-mother, Dorothy Roberts Coomer.
    Services were held Friday, December 1, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Clay City United Methodist Church by Rev. Kim Rose and Rev. Jamie Brunk. Visitation was held Thursday at the church from 6-9 p.m.
    Burial was in Jackson Chapel Cemetery with John Skidmore, Charlie Randall, Morgan Rose, Chloe Rose, Allyson Spencer, Brette Spencer, Lillee Jett, Brayden Jett, Caroline Jett, and Carlee Jett serving as pallbearers.
    Honorary pallbearers serving were members of the Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church, West Bend United Methodist Church, and Clay City United Methodist Church.

    Fairley Holden Neal Jr., age 58, of Irvine, Kentucky, known by his friends as "Charlie Brown," passed away Monday, November 27, 2023.
    He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, October 7, 1965 to the late Fairley Holden Neal Sr. and Rachelle Irene Wilson Neal.
    He is survived by a son, Fairley Neal III; three daughters, Katyleen Sparks, Alexis Neal and Brittany Stegall; and a brother, Wayne Neal.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sonja Jackson.
    A memorial service were held at 12 Noon, Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Irvine. Friends visited Saturday from 11 a.m. till time of the service.

    She was born October 9, 1953 in Prattville, Alabama to Phillip and Minnie Knight. She was a Homemaker.
    Mrs. Nobles is survived by a son, Rickey Lane Nobles Jr.; two daughters, Jeannie Gailes and Jessica Barber; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruby Kinchen and Diane Glisson.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Minnie Knight; and her husband, Rickey Lane Nobles Sr.
    No services are planned at this time.

    Remington Hall, newborn infant son of William and Hope Hall, of Clay City, Kentucky, passed into the arms of Jesus the day he was born, Thursday, November 23, 2023.
    He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
    Remington was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Henry Hall.
    In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Jeremiah Hall, Micah Hall, and Canaan Hall; two sisters, Hannah Hall and Madilyn Hall; a paternal grandmother, Lisa Hall of Winchester; a maternal grandfather, Gary Meadows of Russell Springs; and a maternal grandmother, Donna Miller of Clay City.
    There will be no services held.

    Ronnie Jay Sparks, age 62, of Harris Ferry Road in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, following a long illness.
    He was born March 15, 1961, in Estill County and was the son of the late T. J. and Nellie Hampton Sparks. He was a dairy farmer and small business owner. Ronnie was a charter member of the Calvary Christian Church and attended the Christview Christian Church. He had lived in Estill County most of his life.
    Mr. Sparks is survived by his wife, Jennifer McKee Sparks; his twin sister, Rita Patrick of Estill County; and one brother, Farrell Sparks of Clark County.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Clay Sparks.
    Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, November 29, 2023, 11 a.m., at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at the Fielder Cemetery. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 28th from 6-9 p.m.

    Christine Tipton, age 87, of Ravenna, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the Saint Joseph Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
    She was born on January 28, 1936, in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Strauder and Ester Barnes Griggs.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Neal Tipton; a daughter, Teresa Woolery; two brothers, Samuel and Lawrence Griggs; one sister, Geneva Barnes; a son in law, Louie Streiss; and two sisters-in-law, Vivian Griggs and Jaunita Griggs.
    Mrs. Tipton was a lifelong member of the Mount Carmel Christian Church. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a true friend to all.
    She is survived by her three children, Barbara Streiss, Stevie Tipton and wife Rebecca Issacs Tipton, and Jeff Tipton and wife Rebecca Wise Tipton; four grandchildren, Brian Tipton, Stevie Tipton II, Brittany Tipton, Carena Tipton Riddell (Noah); six great grandchildren, Samantha, Racin, Lacey, Allen, Alayiha, and Ensley; one brother, Johnny Griggs; a sister, Betty Embs (Scottie); and a son-in-law, Doug Woolery; along with numerous nieces and nephews and relatives and friends to miss her and mourn her passing.
    Funeral services for Christine Tipton will be conducted on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lewis Home for Funerals. Brother Mark Pearson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Gray Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, November 27th at Lewis Home for Funerals.

    He was born July 10, 1956 in California to the late Marvin Dean Corcoran Sr. and Vera Faye Spicer.
    Survivors include his mother, Faye Spicer; a son, Marvin Dean "Corky" Corcoran III; two daughters, Yvonna Kaye Thompson and Patty Brown; six sisters, Connie Husley (Kenneth), Ella Whelchel, Kimber Brock, Trina Shuman (Steven), Robin Harbin (Troy), and Anita Borders (Rodney); and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Virgie Corcoran; and two sons, Robert Franklin Costello and Wendall Lee Costello.

    Samuel Lee Canter Jr., age 89, of Broadway in Irvine, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023, at his home following a long illness.
    He was born August 28, 1934, in Estill County and was the son of the late Samuel Lee Canter Sr. and Esther Hughes Canter. He was retired from Proctor & Gamble where he worked as a Mechanic. He was a United States Army Veteran, and he attended the Friendship Baptist Church. He had lived in Estill County all his life.
    Mr. Canter was preceded in death by his wife, Lavenda “Jo” Jamison Canter; and he is survived by two daughters, Vickie Dunaway of Madison County, and LaSonia Smith of Laurel County; one son, Samuel Glenn Canter (Patty) of Jefferson Co; two grandchildren, Dustin Dunaway (Tiffany Richardson) and Ashley Simpson (Graham); and one nephew, Rick Canter (Jean).
    In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lenvil Canter; one grandson, Cody Austin Canter; and one niece, Teresa Canter.

Greg Coyle

    Greg Coyle, age 63, the husband of Patty Mullins Coyle, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023.
    Greg was born on April 3, 1960, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Paul and Annette Isaacs Coyle. Greg’s family moved back to Madison County, where he grew up in the College Hill Community. He attended Waco Elementary School and was a 1978 graduate of Madison Central High School. He was currently a co-owner for the past 27 years, of Hays Furniture in Berea, Kentucky. Prior to the furniture store, he had worked at Carhartt Inc. in Irvine and was the owner of Coyle’s Grocery in Richmond.
    Greg loved spending time with his family. In addition, he loved to golf, and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He and his wife Patty attended Church On The Rock in Berea.
    Survivors include his wife, Patty; one son, Cameron Gregory Coyle; one daughter, Conner Rachel-Ryan Coyle; two brothers, Paul Allan Coyle (Kim) and Larry Anthony Coyle (Becky); his step-mother, Joan Coyle; his mother-in-law, Margie Mullins; a brother-in-law, Greg Mullins (Pam); several aunts and uncles, including Shirley Stidham, Ralph Coyle, Gary Coyle (Tammy), Ora Lee Isaacs, Pam Isaacs and Joan Isaacs; his nieces and nephews, April Caudill (A.J.), Chad Coyle (Misty), Nathan Coyle (Hollie), Evan Coyle, Lacena Mulvey (Cody), Brandon Coyle (Katrina), Caleb Mullins, Aidan Mullins and Graham Mullins as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
    Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Church On The Rock, 1049 Richmond Road N, Berea, Kentucky with Pastor Mark Sarver and Rev. Tony Stidham officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens. The family will received visitors from 5-8 p.m., Monday evening at the church.
    Pallbearers are Chad Coyle, A.J. Caudill, Nathan Coyle, Evan Coyle, Cody Mulvey, Brandon Coyle, Neil Claytor and Dylan Jackson.

    She was born September 4, 1974 in Lexington to Danny and Carolyn Garland Sparks.
    Beth Ann is survived by her mother, Carlyon Estepp; a brother, Mitchell Estepp; and a sister, Teresa Hubbard.
    Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City with Bro. Robbie Hisle officiating. Friends may visit Tuesday from 11 a.m. till time of the service.

    Survivors include his wife, Delpha Arlene Bellamy; a son, Kelly Scott Bellamy (Lisa Watkins); a grandson, Logan Scott Bellamy; and a sister, Shirley Ann Crabtree.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Celia Estes and Ruby Rogers Faoila.

    Douglas Dean Hicks, age 69, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 21, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
    Doug was born in Ashland, Kentucky, December 28, 1953 to the late Harold and Mary Coffey Hicks. Doug retired from Marathon Petroleum Company after 33 years of loyal service. He was a member of the Route 60 Freewill Baptist Church. Doug was an avid outdoorsman that loved to hunt and fish. He loved to sing and play his guitar for the Lord. As a member of his singing servants of 18 years. Doug and his wife Kathy loved to travel and spread the gospel. He loved his church family and friends.
    Doug is survived by Kathy Hicks, his wife of 42 years; a daughter Shellie McCoy (Mike); a grandson, Trevor Holbrook (Cassandra); a granddaughter, Laney McCoy; four brothers, Ed Hicks (Mary Beth), Jerry Hicks (Mellody), Joe Hicks (Sherry), and Bob Hicks (Tammy); four sisters, Dot Qualls (Moses), his twin, Jean Sellards, Pat Duvall, and Diane Brown (James); his beloved Mutt Dog Benji; and a host of nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Hicks; a son, Norman Douglas Hicks; a brother, James Sonny Hicks; a sister, Tillie Shavers; and a very special brother in-law, Charlie Sellards.
    Doug was a loving, giving and a devoted husband, dad and papaw. He will be greatly missed by all that loved him.
    Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Route 60 Freewill Baptist Church in Kenova, West Virginia with Bro. Dennis Young and Bro. Terry Collins officiating. Friends may call Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. till time of the service. Burial will follow in the Bowling Cemetery.

Mary Magdalene Patrick

    Mary Magdalene Patrick, age 70, of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, at her home with family by her side.
    She was born May 23, 1953, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Curtis and Lissie Banks Townsend. Mary loved reading, enjoyed listening to gospel music, and had a passion for collecting Angels. More than anything, Mary loved when her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren spent time with her.
    She is survived by three children, Wayne “Bub” Patrick (Marianne) of Bethel, Ohio; Tammy Sherwood (Shane) of Blanchester, Ohio; and Tina Shipley (J.R.) of Bloomington, Indiana; grandchildren, Jeff Smallwood, Curtis Patrick (Sam), Chelsea Sherwood, Ivory Brewer (Bobby), Chazz Sherwood (Tori), Harley Patrick (McKenzie), Ashley Patrick, and Jared Shipley; great grandchildren, Colton, Layla, Jameson, JR, Ryder, Logan, Damian, Scarlet, Rylee, Carson, and Michael; a brother, Billy Joe Townsend of Blanchester; and a special friend and neighbor, Betty Betuel.
    In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Ray Patrick on December 14, 2015.
    Mary’s family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice, especially nurse Mollie Smith, for the loving care shown to Mary.
    Local funeral services were held at 7 p.m., Friday, November 24, 2023, at the Wilmington Church of the Nazarene by Pastor Donis Williams of the church. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. at the church. Graveside services and interment took place at 12 Noon, Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the Stonegate Cemetery in Stanton, Kentucky. Brother Joey Rogers officiated graveside services.
    The family asks that memorial donations be directed to the Wilmington Church of the Nazarene, 2193 Wayne Road, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
    Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, Ohio, is assisting the family with Ohio services. Wells Funeral Home, in Stanton, Kentucky is assisting with the graveside services in Kentucky.
