Cayman Islands - John Felder CEO of Cayman Automotive Leasing announced today that the first Wheego LiFe all Electric Vehicle (EV) is now available in the Cayman Islands. Wheego EV’s are now available for distribution on all three Islands, and are setting its sights at turning the Caribbean Green. Cayman Automotive is the first to deliver eco-friendly cars in the region and momentum is growing fast. In fact, this is the second “First” in a row for John Felder and Cayman Automotive. Last month Cayman Automotive introduced the first ever Solar Panel Charging Stations for EV’s in the Caribbean, located in George Town, Grand Cayman. EV’s are recognised as a symbol for creating renewable and sustainable energy worldwide, and represent a turning point in our dependence on fossil fuels. Solar power charging stations for EV’s generate electricity using pollution-free solar cells, thereby reducing the vehicles carbon footprint to zero.

The Wheego LiFe EV comes fully-equipped with air conditioning, driver and passenger airbags, and power locks and windows. The cars 115V lithium battery pack is rechargeable from a standard 120V outlet, a 240V outlet, or at available solar panel charging stations. The Wheego LiFe EV gets 100 miles on a single charge, and is available in red, white, blue, black, silver, and green. The two-seater subcompact Wheego LiFe EV appears to be perfect for anyone concerned with reducing their carbon footprint.
