The 3 series at the top of this thread is most definitely NOT Mystic Blue.

As can be seen from more recent posts, Mystic Blue is a duller colour and only looks 'bright' in strong sunlight.

In the UK, Mystic Blue has now been discontinued and has been replaced by a much nicer colour 'Deep Sea Blue' which is slightly brighter but looks more metallic than Mystic, which in dull UK weather looks like a non-metallic colour.

I think Interlagos Blue (as well as Indianapolis Red) is only available exclusive color for the current gen ///M5s and ///M6s.

The E46 ///M3s had Laguna Seca Blue as their exclusive color, well that and Phoenix Yellow.

Bingo.

Interlagos is a much richer brighter blue... and is exclusive to the M5 M6 not available on the M3. Actually Interlogos was not even available till 2006. So it would not have made it onto any E46.

The E39 M5 had avusblue in 1999 and 2000 and changed to LeMans Blue in 2001-2003 and LeMans is similiar to Interlagos... brighter and richer blue.

Imola Red was the exclusive Red to the M5 similiar to Indi Red on the E60.

P.S. There are I think two Phoenix Yellow E39 M5s in the US. I know of of them down in SD and another the last I heard was up in the Bay. They were legit BMW Individual cars.

I don't know if you missed my post at the top of this page, but I can most certainly tell you, and would put money on it, that Interlagos Blue was offered on competition pack (ZCP) E46 M3s. It is not exclusive to the M5/M6.

You edited that and added the extra info on the E46 M3 Competition Package with the exclusive option to have it in Interlagos blue... that was not there yesterday. But I did miss that. I didnt know they offered it for the Competition package. I'm not that big of a fan of the E46 M3 so I guess that explains why I didnt know.

Yeah I would agree that's Mystic Blue...absolutely gorgeous.

Here is a pic of my Mystic Blue, I hate that BMW does not offer this colorfor the new 08 535i. My new one currently in production will be Space Grey.

I think Topaz and mystic are all pretty similar, but much of it depends on the lighting. Interlagos is totally different with a bit of a purplish hue.

Here are a few pics of BMW blues

Interlagos, Topaz, Laguna Seca, and Estoril
