Find of the Day: 2003 Sprint Blue RS 6 Sedan

words: Bill, photos: RMC Miami

I just realized that this is the third big Audi sedan we’ve featured this week after the 1988 Audi 5000CQ Turbo quattro on Monday and the 2001 Audi S8 on Tuesday. It wasn’t intentional; similar finds seem to fall in my lap at the same time. However, I don’t think I’ll get any complaints on this one. This is a 2003 Audi RS 6 sedan in Sprint Blue. Supposedly it’s 1 of 1. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again; there’s something about Audi blues. Here’s the ad:

2003 Audi RS 6 1 of 1 Sprint blue

Our ultra rare color combination of this low production US market Audi RS 6 is now available for sale. Only 1200 Cars were imported by AUDI to the United states this being only 1 of 1 in the Sprint Blue with nappa silver interior. Our car was sold new in 2003 at Rockville AUDI in Maryland and was in Florida until subsequently sold to its 2nd owner purchased it in 2008 and owned it in Virginia until we purchased it this year.
The paint is original and verified by paint meter readings on each panel measuring 6-8mm thickness throughout. Paint condition is fantastic overall with some minor stone chips on the front bumper and a couple on the hood as expected with a car that’s 20 years old and has some miles. Body lines are extremely straight with no major dings or dents to note. Exterior wise the car is completely stock and has never been modified. In 2009 a recall was performed and updated all the suspension component of the car at AUDI. The factory 18 inch wheels are nearly flawless and are wrapped in Hankook V12 tires.
Interior wise the RS 6 is very comfortable and has many beautiful factory touches. The silver nappa leather with black piping is in mint condition. The heated front and rear seats are trimmed in silver leather with RS 6 logos debossed on the backrests.  All the door cards have factory carbon trim. The door cards are mint and the door jams look like new. Carbon-fiber trim accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. A perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel features shift buttons for the Tiptronic transmission and frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a central digital display as well as gauges for oil temperature, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. Alcantara headliner is starting to sag a bit behind the rear passenger headrests.
This AUDI RS 6 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.2-liter V8 mated to a five-speed Tiptronic automatic transaxle and Quattro all-wheel drive. The 4.2-liter aluminum V8 was rated at 450 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque when new. The car makes 415lb ft of torque at 1900 rpms pinning you in your seat and accelerating this 4000LB saloon from 0-60 in 4.6 seconds.
Maintenance wise the car comes with all books manuals and comprehensive service history. Previously an AUDI certified pre owned vehicle the second owner was so meticulous he kept a log of gas receipts. The previous owner also bought an additional warranty and kept up with maintenance religiously. In 2012 the timing belt was changed to ensure longevity and reliability. At the moment mechanically the car needs nothing. The car turns on effortlessly with a steady idle and no error codes displayed.
Purchaser will receive all books and manuals, clean car fax, all pertinent records and 1 key.

The C5 RS 6 already has a presence with bulging fenders and that growly twin-turbo 4,2 V8 but combine it with Sprint Blue and well…you won’t be invisible. It only has 63k miles, 2 owners, and all documented service. The price is $38,900. Do you think this is a deal? If you would like this 2003 Sprint Blue Audi RS 6 sedan, you can find it HERE.
