International Harvester KB-233 pumper fire truck. It is one of the nicest ones that I have ever seen, and is complete. There is no major rust, no dents, and everything is there. There is very slight blistering where the rear section of the front fender meets the body, but it is very minor.
It was used up until about 2014 as a fire suppression rig for a local logging company in their holding yard, and was never used in the field. Basically, since the 50’s, this truck has been in a holding yard, being driven from one side of the lot to the other.
The wheels are the original spoke style, and there is only one hubcap missing.
The doors open and close super smoothly, and the dash is uncut.
Mechanically, it was a good running machine when I brought it home last Summer, but will need a wee bit of tlc before reaching the public highways. I have a brand new N.O.S Master cyl for it, as well as some new wires for the ignition as well. The seats are factory, and will need upholstery. There is one original hose reel as well. The water tank in the back is leak free and holds a few hundred gallons. All of the pumping mechanics work fine, and was a certified Fire Suppression Vehicle until the end of 2010.
The engine is a Blue Diamond 240 CID gas burning 6 cylinder.
THIS SPECIFIC MACHINE IS ALREADY IN A PRIVATE COLLECTION-
If you are interested in having us find you a nice restored, or restorable example, we are glad to help in all stages of the process.
