Long Description: DESCRIPTION HAS BEEN UPDATEDThis custom 1972 De Tomaso Pantera is a twin-turbo-powered show-quality car with over 6 years and 10,000 hours in this custom rotisserie restoration build. After being stripped down to bare metal, the bodywork was done by Gary Todisco. Every nut and bolt were replaced, polished, plated or painted. The coachwork alone took 14 months to complete, with the lines on the car sharpened. Paintwork completed over 12-month period by Eddie Meek in a unique Manzanita Satry color, done in urethane and plenty coats of clear. Powder-coating and black chroming of the suspension and trim components were all done by Orange Plating Co. The engine was built by Reath Automotive in Long Beach, CA. It was bored and stroked to 6.8 liters with a 9:1 compression on aluminum-block Cleveland cylinder heads and a custom intake system, roller cam by Chet Herbert and tons of custom-fabricated and polished billet aluminum parts by Jody Glasnapp. The motor runs AiResearch twin-turbo TO4s and TECH3r electronic fuel ignition from Electromotive, who also supplied the trick programmable ignition system. A custom twin nitrous-oxide system was also added, along with a cooling system by PI Motorsports with an aluminum Fluidyne radiator with twin sucker fans. The twin-turbo power flows through a ZF 5-speed manual gearbox, and the car comes equipped with an Alpine audio system, power windows, power mirrors, power brakes and air conditioning. The brakes are NASCAR-style with ventilated discs from Hall Pantera. The leather interior is designed from eight special shades imported from Sweden by Thorton's Auto Upholstery. This Pantera rolls on custom staggered 3-piece Etoille wheels by Tom Tjaarda.
