Now that the holidays are over, please take a minute to review what was new the last three months in this Fall edition of the JConcepts Product Rewind!
Landmines 1.0” Tires & Pre-Mounts
The first item released in the Fall was the new 1.0″ size Landmines. These tires have a 57mm outside diameter which makes them compatible with the Traxxas TRX-4M wheel or vehicles that use tires with the same dimensions.
This tire features sliced, stepped and recessed lugs for contortion control. It is also available in our Super Soft, Green compound.
To make it even easier for you to get up and running we offer these tires in a pre-mounted version. The tires come already glued to our black Shuttle wheels, and both the pre-mounts and the un-mounted tires come stuffed with our soft, open cell inserts, and are also sold in pairs.
Our popular Tusk tires are now also available in this miniature size. They use a 1.0″ mounting bead and are 2.25” (57mm ) in overall size without the included soft, open cell inserts. The tires are made from our Super Soft, Green compound and sold in pairs of two.
Features on the tire include cut and sliced lugs, stepping and recessed lugs for contortion control. Sidewall lugging for pinch grip and gap crawling and relieved a small portion of rubber for increased flexibility.
If you need to hit the trails faster we also offer these in a pre-mounted version too which means they come already glued to our Shuttle wheels that are black in color. These tires are also the perfect edition to the Traxxas TRX-4M wheel or vehicles that use tires with the same dimensions.
Up next was our S15 clear body for the Team Associated B6.4. This body is offered in both standard or lightweight versions, and both variations include window masks, a decal sheet, two rear wings and an overspray film.
This body uses design features like a single cockpit layout, a cab fin with rear extension for tracking ability, sidepod winglets for mid-force performance and a climbing rear spoiler for increased rear downforce.
We followed that up with another new body shell for the Team Associated B74.2.
The S15 body comes clear, and is packed with design features like a climbing rear spoiler for increased rear downforce, sidepod winglets for mid-force performance and a compressed cab with fin protruding from it for tracking ability.
It is available in both a standard and lightweight variation too. Both versions are packaged with window masks, a decal sheet, two Carpet | Turf | Dirt rear wings and a protective film to aid you when spraying your custom paint scheme.
20th Anniversary Grid T-Shirt & Pullover Hoodie
To continue celebrating our 20th year in the RC industry we released some more apparel.
The new 20th Anniversary Grid T-Shirt and Pullover Hoodie are black with a special 20th Anniversary logo and artwork layered over a blue grid background.
Racing checkerboard sleeve artwork has been applied to the left sleeve of both items, and they are available in sizes ranging from S to XXXL, plus we offer these in youth L and M sizes for the younger racing fans too.
Scalloped 2.2″ Carpet & Turf Inserts
After that we released our Scalloped 2.2″ Carpet and Turf Inserts for 2wd and 4wd off-road buggies. These open cell foam inserts are white in color and include scalloped inner cuts.
These scallops will produce better rolling speed with increased sidewall support while allowing the center section of the tire to hold up to large impacts and landings.
The front inserts work for both narrow and wide front tires in both 2wd and 4wd buggy classes, while the rear inserts are intended for 2wd buggies. Two pieces are included in each package, and they are easily identifiable thanks to their bright white material.
RM2 1/8 Off-Road Carbon Fiber Body Shell Washers
We then released another item under our growing RM2 product line. The RM2 1/8 Off-Road Carbon Fiber Body Shell Washers are crafted from thinly sliced carbon fiber and have an adhesive backing. Four washers are included in each package, and since they are resistant to bending it is recommended to install them on a flat surface on your car’s body.
The inside diameter is intended for an 8mm body post hole while the outer diameter is set to a much larger size to accommodate a body’s geometry. Two of the pieces are slotted for movement and traditional chassis flex typically found on 1/8 off-road vehicles.
S2 Clear Body For The Schumacher LD3
Our popular S2 body design is now available for the Schumacher LD3 2wd off-road buggy. You can pick this body up in both our normal and lightweight options, and both versions include two Carpet | Turf rear wings, window masks, overspray film and a decal sheet.
The body design itself uses an aggressive, progressive cab design with a channeled roof with a center stabilizer.
It also features usable side-pod vents to help cool your electronics along with our famous dual side-window design.
Silent Speed 27T 550 Brushed Motor
Next, we added another motor option to our current Silent Speed lineup. The Silent Speed 27T 550 Brushed Motor will fit 550 based motor crawlers like the Traxxas TRX4 and it uses a fixed end-bell design. The output side of the motor features a ball bearing while the outer brush hood is bushing supported.
Simply install the pinion gear back to the motor, align to form proper gear mesh and drop the Silent Speed motor back into place in the vehicle. Install or solder motor wires back into place for proper rotation and place the vehicle back into service.
Golden 73’s Monster Truck Tire
These new tires are a massive ~7.3″ in size with large cleats built into the tread pattern. The Golden 73’s mimic the full scale tires used in the 1980’s, and these tires are intended for vehicles like the Tamiya Clod Buster, the JConcepts Regulator conversion kit, or a monster truck build that uses the same dimensions.
These are available in our Soft, Blue compound, are sold in pairs, and stuffed inside is our React open cell inserts.
These tires will fit our Tribute 73’s 3.2 x 3.6″ Monster Truck Wheels which we will talk about next.
Tribute 73’s 3.2 x 3.6″ Monster Truck Wheel
Like I said these new wheels are intended to be used with our Golden 73’s Monster Truck Tires. These wheels are available in three different color options to fit the look of your next monster truck build.
Each version includes installation hardware and multiple off-set wheel adaptors.
You also receive closed and open planetary caps so you can customize the final look of your monster truck even more.
Fling Kings 2.6″ Monster Truck Tire
We followed that up with our new Fling Kings 2.6″ Monster Truck Tires. The dimensions are ~4.05” W x 6.7”H and the tread pattern mimics a full scale tire with “hand-cutting” sections.
On the sidewalls the tire has vintage style JConcepts lettering, a Fling King logo and crown, along with a part number for easy identification.
These tires will fit out Tribute wheels and are sold in pairs. They are currently available in our Soft, Blue compound and each tire also comes with React open cell inserts.
Our newest item to be sold under the growing RM2 product line is the Ghost Gear Grease. This grease is intended to reduce friction and noise in your car’s drivetrain thanks to its high quality and thick consistency.
Specifically, this grease was designed for plastic gears found in many of today’s 1/10 off-road vehicles. Please visit our website for more tips on how to use this product in your next build!
F2 Short Course Truck Clear Body
Our next product release was the F2 clear body for Short Course Trucks. It will fit a variety of trucks from Team Associated, Traxxas and Tekno RC thanks to different mounting locations, and our included instructions will help you to properly fit your truck.
Features include a lower profile cab that also incorporates a slight stabilization fin in the center.
This new shell also includes multiple tuning sections that can be removed to help air pass through the body easier when you are “sending it” over large jump sections on the track or when you want to get big air at your favorite bashing spot.
Also included are window masks, a decal sheet and it is covered with an overspray film for your custom paint job.
Pre-Mounted Fuzz Bite LP Wide Front 2wd Buggy Tires
Our Fuzz Bite LP Wide Front 2wd Buggy Tires are now available in a pre-mounted option to get you on the track even faster! These are available with either yellow or white Mono rims, and each version comes pre-glued for your convenience.
The Fuzz Bite design uses a low profile carcass layout that will help a driver to gain a more rapid transition at high speeds and reduce side-wall deflections and rolls. This tread pattern features a reverse “water tower” design which plants the larger base at the bottom and narrows at the top for precision.
Pre-Mounted Pin Swag LP Wide Front 2wd Buggy Tires
We are now also offering pre-mounted Pin Swag LP Wide Front 2wd Buggy Tires too. These tires come pre-glued to our proven Mono rims, and you can choose between yellow or white color options.
The Pin Swag tire uses a low profile carcass layout with ultra-light weight scalloped tire beads to reduce the rotational weight. The unique tread pattern of this tire incorporates a split down the center to give a little individual control to contort to surfaces. In between, a stagger section with angular front is placed just behind a vertical rib to complete the design.
Smoothie 2 Rear Buggy Tires Now Available In Aqua (A2) Compound
Our popular Smoothie 2 rear tires are now available in our Aqua (A2) Compound. When racing on an indoor track where slicks are the fastest tire, now drivers can choose between our Silver and A2 compounds to get their car dialed in.
They use an industry standard 2.2″ mounting bead and the thickened tire carcass rolls through the turns with efficiency while the maximum smooth surface area grips the specialty surfaces like no other. They also include our 2.2″ Dirt-Tech gray color inserts and are sold in pairs.
Smoothie 2 Thick Sidewall Front 2wd & 4wd Buggy Tires
Next, we released our front Smoothie 2 tires for both 2wd and 4wd buggies that now feature a thicker sidewall.
The thicker sidewall will help to keep the sidewall flexing or bending over on today’s high traction off-road dirt surfaces.
The thick sidewall version, as indicated with the part number 4047 bossed on the sidewall, also has inner ribs added to further the support. These are sold in pairs and each tire is stuffed with our popular Dirt-Tech closed cell inserts, and these are now available in both our Silver and Aqua (A2) compounds.
Mirage WSE SS 1993 Worlds Special Edition Scoop RC10 Clear Body
This next release is sure to be a hit with the vintage RC community! We recently released this vintage inspired Mirage WSE SS 1993 Worlds Special Edition Scoop RC10 clear body.
The story goes that during the 1993 IFMAR World Championships, Brian Kinwald emerged victorious with a slightly modified version of the Mirage SS body for the Team Associated RC10. According to IFMAR rules, it was illegal to cut or vent bodies without a proper shape, scribed area, or scoop inlet for such. So just for the race, a special shell was created with a scoop on the speed control side, so team racers could add vent holes or cut-outs.
So to help vintage RC fans recreate those signature builds this body is now available again. It comes clear with an overspray film so you can apply the paint scheme for your build. Small and larger window masks are also included along with a Detonator 5.5” rear wing and a decal sheet.
Stage Killah Clear Body For The Axial SCX10 Pro
Our popular Stage Killah body design is now available for the Axial Adventure SCX10 Pro. This new body shell comes clear and will also work with a vehicle that uses a 12.3″ wheelbase.
Each body includes a protective overspray film, window masks and a decal sheet.
Features of this new body include a high clearance front and rear-end, a low-profile roofline with a small extra cab window and flanged wheel wells and rocker panels for more durability when out on the trail or rocks.
Stage Killah Clear Body For The Axial AX24 XC-1
We then released another Stage Killah clear body, but this time for the Axial AX24 XC-1.
Features of this new lid include flanged wheel wells and rocker panel for durability, a low-profile roofline with a small extra cab window, along with recessed windows front and sides.
This new shell also comes with a Stage Killah decal sheet, window masks and a protective film for custom paint jobs.
RM2 Gold High Temperature & Performance Grease
After that we added another product option to our RM2 lineup. The RM2 Gold grease works great for metal to metal applications since it helps to reduce the amount of wear these items will see.
So that means you can use it driveline parts like CVA’s, universals and axle assemblies. An ample amount to complete several builds is included in the metal container with a removable lid.
Our popular Teazers 1/8 off-road buggy tread pattern is now available for 1/8 off-road trucks now. These are currently available in our Green and Blue compounds, sold in sets and are stuffed with our race proven Dirt-Tech closed cell inserts. The design of the tire features nearly 4000 individual pins and the Teazer uses a multi-height and multi-width pin system to incorporate the dense pin count.
The square based, angular lugs alternate in height and width to connect with a track surface by allowing the taller pins to reach deep and contour with the terrain. The shorter pins stiffen the base, add surface area, and provide increased longevity for long main events.
BIGFOOT 4 Louisville 1990 Ford F-250 Clear Body Set
This body is officially licensed from Ford and BIGFOOT 4X4 and is perfect for monster truck enthusiasts! This new body set will help them to recreate BIGFOOT #4 that was used in competition at the Louisville Motor Speedway figure 8 track in the summer of 1990.
The 1990 Ford F-250 body comes clear and includes a plethora of additional items like injection molded bumpers, grille, plus other various mock engine accessories.
It also includes an inner rollbar assembly, fluorescent pink light bucket covers, mock light buckets and lens caps.
Two decals sheets are also included along with window masks and an overspray film.
Pre-Mounted Relapse 1/8 Truck Tire
JConcepts now makes it easier than ever to hit the track running with our new Pre-Mounted Relapse 1/8 Truck Tires. These tires come pre-glued to either white or yellow Mono rims, and both options are available in our Super Soft, Green compound.
The Relapse uses a medium sized, dense tread that is perfect for those long nitro main events. The tread pattern also features medium to small sized, dense lugs that are arranged in a stacked and horizontal configuration. These lugs have strategically placed cuts and grooves to allow flex in dust to perform when the track is in a deteriorating condition as well.
Chassis Protective Sheet For The T6.4 & SC6.4
We are now offering chassis wraps for the Team Associated T6.4 and SC6.4 trucks. Each package includes two Chassis Protective Sheets with three separate tail sections, so six in total. The tail section area tends to take the most abuse when landing jumps so we included extra replacement pieces for you.
These Chassis Protective Sheets are a direct fit to each corresponding vehicle, and to install them please refer to our website for helpful instructions. Thanks to the neutral colors of the Chassis Protective Sheets they will work well with nearly any paint scheme, and they are made from highly durable material making them ideal for carpet, turf and dirt off-road racing.
Pre-Mounted Reflex 1/8 Truck Tire
We also offer our popular Reflex 1/8 Truck Tire in a pre-mounted configuration too. Drivers can choose these tires already glued to our Mono rims in either our bright white or fluorescent yellow colors.
Both versions are available in our Super Soft, Green compound, and the Reflex features square, angled pins with horizontal bars along with a stacked tread for equal wear patterns.
Pre-Trimmed Finnisher Polycarbonate 1/8 Buggy Rear Wing
Now available is our Pre-Trimmed Finnisher Polycarbonate 1/8 Buggy Rear Wing. Previously this wing was released as the “Hybrid” wing, but now this wing has been updated with taller side-dams and rear gurney.
Seven individual ribs help to support the wing’s upper section as it transitions to the gurney, and the tall rear gurney height is tunable as well. The Pre-Trimmed Finnisher Polycarbonate 1/8 Buggy Rear Wing is crafted from 1.5mm thick polycarbonate, is extremely light weight and will give drivers another tuning option on race day.
Hazard Wheel Replacement Hex Adapters
Our final product release was the Hazard Wheel Replacement Hex Adapters. These are replacement 24mm hex adapters for our #3425 Hazard wheel and are sold in packs of four.
These adapters are black in color and crafted from injection molded, durable materials, and now drivers have a way to replenish their supply if they were to damage or lose one during a long bashing session.
