US-Legal in 8 months: 1990 Nissan S-Cargo

This 1990 Nissan S-Cargo van is one of 12,000 made, and has only 107,117 Kilometers. These vans were made at Nissan’s Pike factory, along with the Figaro, Pao and Be-1 retro concept cars. The S-Cargo is influenced by the Citroen 2CV “Tin Snail” van, and manages to capture the quirkiness of the original, while featuring an automatic transmission, A/C, and 35 mpg. This S-Cargo has benefitted from much recent service and is said to be in excellent condition, and ready to drive. As a 1990 model, this S-Cargo will be US importable in 2015, under the 25-year exemption. Find it here on Craigslist in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada for $7500 CDN.

Pea Green Pair: 1954 Nash Ambassador Custom and 1939 Camp Trailer

Pea Green Pair: 1954 Nash Ambassador Custom and 1939 Camp Trailer

This 1954 Nash Ambassador Custom comes paired with a 1939 camp trailer made by the Covered Wagon Company, which has been painted to match the car in what we’d call a period-correct two-tone mint green and dark green. The interior of the trailer is lined with its original curved wood walls and ceiling that looks to be in great shape, while the Nash enjoyed an engine rebuild less than 1000 miles ago. A little sorting looks like it’s in order, but otherwise, this one’s ready for next weekend. Find this one here on Craigslist in Portland, Oregon for $30k.

1964 Simca 1000

1964 Simca 1000
This 1964 Simca 1000 [serial 6005227] appears to be in remarkably clean condition, and is a mode we see on offer even less than a Renault R8. Unusually for a rear-engined car, the fuel tank is also mounted in the rear, so handling is said to be somewhat tricky at the limit. Nonetheless, this is a car that won’t often meet a twin on the road. Find it here on eBay in Deltona, Florida.

This 1985 BMW M635CSi [VIN WBAEE310601051176] is a one-family grey-market import that remains in good condition. Not perfect, with some scuffs on the bumpers and a broken odometer that certainly may scare some away, but this looks to be an excellent example of the hot E24. The water buffalo leather is a very interesting feature that seems to have held up well. Find it here on eBay in Lake Worth, Florida.

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 Rally Raider

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 Rally Raider

This Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 based rally raid truck is an intriguing build, but few details are provided in the ad beyond that it comes with many spares, is provided by what sounds to be a 250HP V8 of some sort, and has partial polyester bodywork. We’ve never imagined a Land Cruiser on white OZ rally wheels, but have to admit they work surprisingly well—at least in this unusual context. Find it here on Rally24.com in France for 45k euros (~$62,267 today).

1972 Datsun Pick-Up

1972 Datsun Pick-Up

This 1972 Datsun truck is in remarkably nice condition for the age, having been repainted a few years ago. The black spray-on bedliner in the bed and cab looks a bit jarring against the light green finish, but will likely preserve this truck beyond most. The venerable L16 four cylinder should run forever with no worries, and the single Weber carb is a worthy upgrade. We love the simplicity of these early trucks, and wish more could still be found in solid running condition. Find it here on eBay in Ripon, California.

This 1964 Mercedes Benz Fintail Wagon (chassis 1100001207063) was built by the custom coachbuilder Binz, and is based on a W110 190C fintail sedan platform.
