Yesterday’s comments of note
“In high school (late 90’s), college and a few years thereafter,I worked at this dealership, which under prior ownership was Carousel Automobiles, or Carousel Porsche Audi. I lucked into the job as my parents were customers, but I was also a pretty responsible kid who could drive a manual no problem. As you can imagine, it was a pretty enviable job amongst my high school pals, even if the majority of early years there were spent hand washing cars, emptying garbage cans, dumping oil bowsers,…”
“In 1980 or thereabouts I was waiting to cross the street at Santa Monica Blvd and Cahuenga in Hollywood when Muhammed Ali pulled up to the light in a Stutz Blackhawk. Since he was stopped we excitedly waved, and he waved back smiling broadly. I was with my best friend who was vacationing in Cali from PA. I looked at him calmly and said, “Happens all the time. Welcome to Hollywood.” Neither of us has ever forgotten that moment.”

“Finally! A classic pony car with properly-sized wheels and tires. I really dislike the contemporary big-diameter/low-profile tire trend. Give me some 15″ wheels and thick side walls! Love the look here! Wish I had the money to bid on this one…”
