This Ford Model A got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1929 Ford Model A is a two-door sedan that was refurbished under previous ownership and was acquired by the selling dealer, Gas Monkey Garage, in 2021 from the previous owner of 27 years. The car is finished in metallic brown with black fenders and accents over green vinyl upholstery, and power comes from a 201ci L-head inline-four paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Features include running boards, a vinyl-covered roof, a tilt-out windshield, an exterior sun visor, a Sparton horn, a Boyce MotoMeter radiator cap, dual brake lights, wire-spoke wheels, and a rear-mounted spare. This Model A is now offered as part of the Gas Monkey Garage Collection at no reserve in Dallas, Texas, with a clean Minnesota title.
The car was repainted in its current metallic brown with black trim and a white beltline pinstripe under previous ownership. The curved steel fenders are finished in black and are connected by running boards with textured rubber mats and Ford-branded step plates. Additional features include a black vinyl roof, bright bumpers, dual brake lights, a tilt-out windscreen, a windshield visor, a Sparton horn, and a Ford-branded a Boyce MotoMeter radiator cap. The 21″ wire wheels are finished in yellow with Ford-branded bright hubcaps, and they are fitted with International bias-ply tires. A matching spare wheel is mounted out back under a Ford-branded soft cover. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel mechanical drum brakes.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in green vinyl along with a matching headliner and door panels. Features include body-color window trim, door-panel map pockets, a floor-mounted shifter, and black floor mats.
The black four-spoke steering wheel with spark advance controls fronts a body-color dashboard housing a barrel-type 80-mph speedometer, an ammeter, and a fuel-level gauge. The chrome instrument surround is pitted. The five-digit odometer shows under 34k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 201ci L-head inline-four features a single carburetor and was factory rated at 40 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed sliding-gear manual transmission.
