This 1931 Buick Series 90 roadster is finished in navy blue over a cream leather interior and powered by a 345ci straight-eight paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Reportedly used for a time to power irrigation equipment on a Bakersfield, California farm, the car is said to have undergone a full refurbishment decades ago under prior ownership. This Series 90 is now offered by the selling dealer with manuals, period literature, past award recognition, and a clean California title.

A repaint in navy blue accented with black fenders was commissioned under prior ownership, with the current condition of the finish is captured in detail in the photo gallery below. Exterior accessories include front safety lights, a Mercury hood ornament, and a rear-mounted luggage trunk. A fold-down windscreen is equipped, and a small exterior door is provided on the passenger side for access to the rear storage compartment.

A four-spoke steering wheel fronts a centrally mounted instrument cluster providing readings for speed, fuel, amperage, and temperature. The five-digit odometer was reset at the time of the refurbishment and shows approximately 400 miles. A factory tool kit is integrated within the driver’s door.

The 345ci straight-eight debuted for the 1931 model year and incorporated innovations such as an oil-temperature regulator and thermostatically controlled radiator shutters like those found on contemporary Packards and Duesenbergs. Factory rated at 104 horsepower, the engine sends power to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted three-speed manual transmission.
