New to BaT? Learn how it works.

This 1933 Buick Model 91 Club Sedan was delivered new by Howard Automobile Company of Los Angeles, California on February 10, 1933. The car was moved to Daytona Beach, Florida by the 1950s and was removed from storage in Florida when the seller acquired it in 1984. Under current ownership the exterior was refinished in two-tone brown and the tan interior was reupholstered. Power comes from a 345ci inline-eight paired with a three-speed manual transmission, and features include hood louvers, running boards, side-mounted spare tires, 17″ wire wheels, a flying-lady ornament, and an integral trunk. This Series 90 is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, service records dating back to the 1950s, some older photos, and a Florida title in the seller’s name.

The seller states that the car was refinished in a brown two-tone scheme using paint sourced from Buick. Features include running boards with replacement rubber mats, louvers on the hood sides, a flying-lady ornament in front of the hood, and a luggage trunk. Imperfections are present in the finish, the grille shows corrosion, and the seller notes a rust bubble under the mat on the driver-side running board. One of the springs for the louvers needs to be reattached, and the faulty spring has caused some knicks in the finish.

Body-matching 17″ wire wheels wear B-script hubcaps and are mounted with Firestone gum-dipped tires. Spare tires with body-color hard covers are mounted on both sides of the car in the trailing edges of the front fenders.

The interior features front and rear bench seats that have been redone with tan cloth upholstery. The rear compartment features integrated side armrests, a fold-down armrest in the center, a robe rail on the back of the front seat, a footrest, and tan floor mats with brown piping. The seller notes that the mats show wear, the robe rail needs to be reattached, and the windshield wipers are missing.

A three-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation that includes a 100-mph speedometer and gauges to monitor amperage, water temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 80k miles, approximately 20k of which have been added by the seller since the 1980s. True mileage is unknown.

The 344.8ci inline-eight was rated to produce 104 horsepower at 2,800 rpm when new. The engine is said to have been left in the car when it was partially rebuilt under current ownership, and the condensers and battery have been replaced. The fuel tank has been recoated inside, and the seller notes rust on the engine where the water-jacket seal is leaking on the driver side.
