This Ford Standard, Deluxe, & Super Deluxe got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1939 Ford Deluxe coupe was acquired by the current owner in June 1989 and underwent a body-off refurbishment that was completed in 2000. The car was refinished in green over tan, and power is provided by a rebuilt 221ci flathead V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a 12-volt electrical system, body-colored 15″ steel wheels, chrome bumpers, dual exhaust outlets, a heater, an analog clock, and aftermarket auxiliary gauges. This Ford Deluxe coupe is offered on dealer consignment with spare keys and Alabama registration.

The body was reportedly repainted in its current shade of green as part of a refurbishment completed in 2000. Equipment includes running boards, dual exhaust outlets, Ford and Deluxe badging, and chrome trim on the side moldings, bumpers, grille, and light surrounds. Images showing paint imperfections are provided in the gallery.

The banjo-style steering wheel fronts a brown-painted dashboard housing a 100-mph speedometer and a combination gauge. Aftermarket auxiliary gauges monitoring coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are mounted beneath the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 1,400 miles, approximately 100 of which have been added by the current owner. Total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 221ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt before it was installed as part of the 2000 refurbishment. A 12-volt electrical system was fitted at that time, and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement three-speed manual transmission that is said to have been rebuilt during the refurbishment.
