This Ford Pickup 1940-1947 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1947 Ford F-1 pickup has been with the seller for four years and wears a dark green repaint with gold accents and whitewall tires. Power is provided by a 239ci flathead V8 mated to a three-speed manual gearbox, and modifications carried out under current ownership include reconditioning of the interior and a 12-volt electrical system conversion as well as installation of an electric fuel pump and updated windshield wiper components. This F-1 is offered in Canada with clean Ontario registration in the seller’s name.
A repaint in dark green with gold accents was applied under previous ownership, and the varnished oak rear deck floor is finished with stainless steel strips as shown in the gallery below.
Painted 16″ steel wheels with chrome hubcaps and beauty rings are shod in wide-whitewall tires, and a full-size spare is mounted amidships on the driver’s side. A video showing an exterior walk-around and interior tour has been provided by the seller.
The interior has been reconditioned to include a new black headliner and side trim as well as a pleated beige vinyl seat cover, while the windshield wipers have been updated with a new motor and arms. The five-digit odometer shows 72k miles, approximately 1,000 of which have been added during the seller’s four-year ownership.
The 239ci flathead V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a floor-shifted three-speed manual gearbox. The factory electrical system has been upgraded from six volts to 12, an electric fuel pump has been installed, and the oil was changed within the past month according to the seller. Cold start, engine idle, and starting videos are provided.
Underbody features include self-centering brakes and semi-elliptical leaf spring suspension with hydraulic, double-acting shocks. Additional photos showing the condition of the drivetrain and dual exhaust system are provided below.
