This Chevrolet Advance Design Pickup (1947-1955) got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1953 Chevrolet 3100 pickup is finished in faded brown paintwork over brown and powered by a replacement 383ci stroker V8 paired with a 700R4 four-speed transmission and a 10-bolt rear axle. The truck rides on an S10 chassis and features power steering, a lowered suspension, a wood-lined bed, a dual-outlet exhaust that exits through the bedsides, power front disc brakes, staggered Ridler wheels with simulated spinners, Dolphin instrumentation, Vintage Air climate control, custom airbrushed paintwork, and a retro-style digital stereo with a custom audio system. The truck was modified during previous ownership and acquired by the selling dealer in 2022. This 3100 is offered with a clean Florida title.
The truck is finished in faded brown paintwork and features a wood-lined bed, chrome bumpers, 3100 badges, running boards, a single-piece windshield, curved rear quarter windows, and a custom dual-outlet exhaust that exits through the bedsides. A billet fuel filler is mounted on the bed floor.
The staggered Ridler wheels wear three-eared spinner center caps and are mounted with mismatched tires. The truck is said to feature a chassis, power steering, and lowered suspension from an S10. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in brown floral embossed vinyl joined by a matching center console. Equipment includes Vintage Air climate control, airbrushed paintwork on the dashboard and door panels, a custom audio system with a Kicker subwoofer, and a retro-style digital stereo.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a Dolphin 140-mph speedometer and a multi-function gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, a handful of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 383ci stoker V8 breathes through an Edelbrock intake manifold and four-barrel carburetor. Features include a hydro-dipped air intake lid with a skull fastener, an MSD electronic ignition, welded valve covers, a polished serpentine drive system, an Optima battery, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear axle. Corrosion is visible on the rear suspension perches.
