1954 Chevrolet 3100 5-Window Pickup 4-Speed

This 1954 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup was refurbished under previous ownership, and work since 2020 consisted of rebuilding the transmission, repainting interior trim, repairing wiring, and installing a Currie 9″ rear axle, Vintage Air climate control, a 12-volt electrical system, a custom driveshaft, and a PerTronix ignition system in addition to replacing the water pump, fuel sending unit, belts, door hinges, and rear main seal. The truck is finished in blue over brown upholstery and powered by a replacement 235ci inline-six mated to an SM 420 four-speed manual transmission. Features include halogen headlamps, an oak bed floor and side stakes, a lowered suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, chrome smoothie-style wheels, a Fenton intake manifold and exhaust manifold, two Daytona one-barrel carburetors, and an Antique Automobile Radio with Bluetooth capability. This Advance Design pickup was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023 and is now offered in Pennsylvania with manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, service records, and a clean Virginia title.

The body is finished in blue and is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. Features include chrome bumpers, halogen headlamps, LED brake lamps, dual mirrors, black running boards, an oak-slatted bed floor and side stakes, and dual exhaust finishers. The cab corners are said to have been replaced under previous ownership, and work since 2020 consisted of installing the bed stakes and Xpel paint protection film on the inside of the bed along with replacing the body mounts and door weather seals.

The 16″ chrome smoothie-style wheels wear bowtie center caps and are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. A spare wheel and tire are mounted to the side of the bed. The truck is fitted with a 1″ lowered suspension and front and rear anti swaybars, and braking is handled by unassisted discs at all four corners. Work since 2020 consisted of rebuilding the steering box, replacing brake lines, and installing a dual master cylinder, four-wheel disc brakes, and Eaton 1″ drop springs, kingpins, shock absorbers, and shackles.

The bench seat is trimmed in brown vinyl upholstery, and the cabin has been updated with Vintage Air climate control, rubber floor coverings, aftermarket speakers, and an Antique Automobile Radio with Bluetooth capability. The wiring was repaired, the interior trim was repainted, the air conditioning and door hinges were replaced under previous ownership, and Eastwood sound-deadening material was applied to the interior.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a column-mounted AutoMeter tachometer and a 90-mph speedometer and supplementary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 1,900 miles, approximately 20 of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 235ci inline-six was installed under previous ownership and features a PerTronix electronic ignition system, Fenton intake and exhaust manifold, and two Daytona one-barrel carburetors. A battery cut-off switch has been mounted in the engine bay. The electrical system has been updated to 12 volts, and work since 2020 consisted of installing a replacement rope crankshaft seal, electric fuel pump, ignition, intake and exhaust manifold, gaskets, carburetors, hoses, belts, and hard fuel lines. An oil change was performed and the carburetor was adjusted in 2022.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through an SM 420 four-speed manual transmission and a Currie 9″ rear axle with 3.50:1 gears. A front seal was added to the transmission, which was rebuilt under previous ownership, and a custom driveshaft was fitted. A dual exhaust system with a crossover pipe has been installed

The chassis plate shows VIN H54O013535, and the first digit of the VIN displayed on the Virginia title is “N”.
