This 1955 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe de Ville was acquired by the seller’s father in 1992 following a refurbishment that included a repaint as well as an interior refresh. The car is finished in yellow and white over color-keyed upholstery and is powered by a 331ci V8 paired with a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes a push-button AM radio, a power-adjustable front seat, power windows, 15” wheels, and power-assisted steering and brakes. This Coupe de Ville is now offered by the seller with manufacturer’s literature, service records dating to 1993, and a Montana title in the name of the owner’s family trust.

The car left the factory finished in Goddess Gold with an Alpine White roof and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. Exterior details include a chrome egg-crate grille accented with twin bullet-shaped “Dagmar” bumper guards and accompanied by a winged hood ornament, side spears, and fender skirts. Pitting is visible on the gold-finished V badging, and rust is noted on the rear bumper end caps surrounding the dual exhaust outlets. A repaired chip in the windshield as well as paint blemishes around the car can be viewed in the gallery.

The 15” steel wheels wear full covers and are mounted with 225/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw XTM narrow-whitewall tires. Power-assisted steering and four-wheel drum brakes were standard equipment.

The cabin features bench seating that has been reupholstered with beige patterned cloth, and the dash is padded with tan leather that extends to the top of the multi-tone door panels. A push-button AM radio and a clock remain in their factory locations, while a windshield washer button has been added below the dash. Additional appointments include a power-adjustable front seat, power windows, rubber floor mats, and a removable console atop the transmission tunnel. The seller notes that the shift lever knob is broken, and the radio knobs are missing. Paint chips and blemishes on the painted lower dash panel are shown in the gallery.

Instrumentation consists of a sweeping 110-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. Aftermarket gauges for alternator output and oil pressure are mounted below the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 26k miles, approximately 3k of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 331ci V8 is equipped with a single carburetor, and the intake manifold, valve covers, and cylinder heads are finished in blue. The radiator is equipped with an electric pusher fan.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
