This Nash Metropolitan got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1958 Metropolitan is a Series III hardtop that is said to have remained registered in California since new and underwent a cosmetic refurbishment in the 2010s before it was purchased by the seller on BaT in July 2022. The car is finished in two-tone yellow and white over white vinyl upholstery, and power comes from a 1.5-liter inline-four paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. Features include a Weber carburetor, an alternator, a Continental-style spare tire cover, and chrome bumpers and hubcaps. This Metropolitan is now offered with a clean California title in the name of the seller’s LLC that lists the car as a 1958 Nash.

Originally finished in Sunburst Yellow and Frost White, the car was refinished in Autumn Yellow and white during the 2010s refurbishment. A replacement windshield was also installed, and the bumpers were re-chromed at that time. Features include a flying-lady hood ornament, dual side-view mirrors, and a Continental-style spare tire cover. Windshield wiper arms are not present.

The white-painted 13″ steel wheels wear chrome Metropolitan-branded hubcaps and whitewall tires. New shocks were reportedly fitted during the refurbishment, and the four-wheel drum brakes are said to have been refreshed at that time.
