This Alfa Romeo 102-Series 2000 got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1959 Alfa Romeo 2000 Roadster was built on December 19, 1958 and delivered new to the Hoffman Motor Company of New York. It was acquired by the seller as a partially-assembled project in 2006 and underwent a bare-metal rotisserie refurbishment that was completed in 2010. An Alfa Romeo 2.3L twin-cam inline-four was installed during that time and fitted with a custom-fabricated intake manifold, Weber 45DCOE carburetors, modified camshafts, and a modern Bosch alternator. The car is finished in white over tan leather upholstery, and additional equipment includes a five-speed manual transmission, a vintage-style radio, Koni shocks, and a stainless steel exhaust system. This 2000 Roadster is now offered with a Centro Documentazione Alfa Romeo certificate, shop and parts manuals, photos and documentation from the refurbishment, an aftermarket hardtop, a soft top, a boot cover, a tonneau cover, a spare engine and other parts, a custom-fitted car cover, and a clean Nevada title in the seller’s name.

The 2000 Roadster was designed by Carrozzeria Touring, and approximately 3,443 were built between 1958 and 1961. The US-market version can be differentiated by closely-paired hood scoops divided by a single trim piece as well as a single chrome strip along each rocker panel. Finished from the factory in Grigio Biacca, this example was stripped, mounted to a rotisserie, and repainted following rust repairs and the installation of replacement body panels. The windshield was also replaced, and a black Stayfast soft top has been installed. The removed bumper overriders will accompany the vehicle along with a hardtop that is missing its rear window. A ding is evident on the rear bumper, and the seller notes scratches on the driver-side door as well as dings along the lower door sills.

Metallic silver-painted steel wheels feature chrome Alfa Romeo-branded hubcaps and are mounted with Pirelli Cinturato CA67 tires. Koni shocks and new hydraulic drum brake components were installed during the refurbishment.

Previously finished in red, the seats have been recovered in tan Scottish leather, and matching upholstery extends to the shift boot, package shelf, and door panels. Anthracite wool carpets are protected by rubber Alfa Romeo-branded floor mats. The aftermarket AM/FM push-button radio features Bluetooth connectivity and is linked to speakers located in the kick panels as well as a subwoofer mounted below the dash.

A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Veglia instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer shows just over 11k miles, most of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

The replacement Alfa Romeo 2.3-liter DOHC inline-four was reportedly built by Fábrica Nacional de Motores in Brazil and features a Conrero-style intake manifold, Weber 45 DCOE carburetors, modified camshafts, a stainless-steel exhaust system, and ribbed valve covers. A Bosch alternator has been installed in place of the factory Marelli generator, and the hood pad was recently replaced per the seller.

The seller states that the engine has been crated to aid shipping.
