Turbocharged Vortec-Powered 1959 Chevrolet Apache 3100 Fleetside Pickup

This 1959 Chevrolet Apache 3100 fleetside pickup was acquired by the seller in 2020 after reportedly spending over three decades sitting in a field, and it was subsequently modified with a 4.8-liter Vortec V8 fitted with a T76 turbocharger, an intercooler, and fabricated exhaust manifolds along with a 92mm throttle body, a bypass valve, high-capacity fuel injectors, and an Aces EFI system. The truck rides on a boxed frame that features a TCI front suspension, a four-link rear setup, and adjustable air springs, while the staggered-diameter Ridler wheels are mounted over Wilwood four-wheel discs. The exterior wears a worn yellow finish and is equipped with a roof rack, a modified grille, a windshield visor, and side exhaust outlets, and the cabin is outfitted with a replacement bench seat. This modified Task Force pickup is offered in Canada with Saskatchewan registration.

The truck wears faded gold and red paint with corrosion and wear as photographed in the gallery, and rust repairs were performed on the cab corners, lower front fenders, and above the windshield. The front grille has been drilled to allow increased airflow to the intercooler, the door seals and window felts are said to have been replaced, and the exhaust system exits ahead of both rear wheels through billet flanges. Further details include a front window visor, a roof rack, and a hood ornament.

The truck rides on a boxed frame fitted with a TCI front suspension, a four-link rear setup, and four-wheel adjustable air springs that are controlled via an in-cab module. Ridler 18″ and 20″ wheels are installed, and the front tires were recently replaced, according to the seller. A Wilwood four-wheel disc brake system provides stopping power.

Clearcoat was applied to the metal surfaces inside the cab, and sound-deadening material was affixed to the floors. The truck has a Lokar shifter, and a replacement bench seat was installed and fitted with a patterned fabric cover, the upper door panels were painted gloss black, and a rack was fitted above the rear window.

An intercooler is fitted in front of the aluminum radiator, the ignition coils are mounted to the inner fenders, and high-capacity fuel injectors and an Aces Jackpot EFI system are installed. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed 4L60E automatic transmission and a 9″ rear axle with 3.00:1 gears.
