1959 Chevrolet Corvette 4-Speed

This 1959 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a replacement 283ci V8 paired with a T-10 four-speed manual transmission and is finished in black with white coves over red vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, a white soft top, 15″ steel wheels, a heater, an analog clock, and a retro-style push-button AM/FM radio. It is said to have undergone a refurbishment under prior ownership and was acquired by the seller in May 2018. Work performed in 2020 is said to have involved replacing the front suspension bushings, tie rod ends, shocks, and fuel pump. This C1 Corvette is now offered with an operations manual, an assembly manual, a service guide, and a Maryland title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Tuxedo Black with Snowcrest White coves and is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. “Fuel Injection” emblems have been fitted on the front fenders, and additional features include a white soft top, quadruple headlights, split chrome bumpers, fender vents, a fender-mounted antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes that the windshield wiper motor is disconnected. A close-up photo of a paint blemish is provided in the gallery.

Body-color 15″ steel wheels feature spinner-style covers and are mounted with 205/75 Firestone Supreme Si whitewall tires. A full-size spare is stored in the trunk. The car came equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension and semi-elliptical rear leaf springs. Work performed in December 2020 reportedly involved replacing the front suspension bushings, tie rod ends, and shocks.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in red vinyl joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Corvette-branded floor mats line the footwells, and additional interior features include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a heater and defroster, sun visors, lap belts, polished sill plates, an analog clock, and a retro-style push-button AM/FM radio. There is a tear in the driver’s seat bottom.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, amperage, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 42k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 283ci V8 was installed under prior ownership and features Corvette-branded valve covers, a dual exhaust system, and an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold. The seller states that the generator was rebuilt in September 2019 and the fuel pump was replaced in March 2020.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a T-10 four-speed manual transmission. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.

The Maryland title lists a Not Actual Mileage odometer brand.
