This 1959 Volkswagen Beetle is said to have been registered to a single owner in California before being acquired by the seller in February 2012. Equipment includes 15” steel wheels, whitewall tires, chrome bumpers, and bright window trim. This Beetle is now offered at no reserve with a Stiftung AutoMuseum Volkswagen Zertifikat, a factory tool kit, manufacturer’s literature, historical documentation, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.

The 1,192cc air-cooled flat-four is equipped with a single downdraft carburetor. The 6-volt battery is said to have been replaced in 2019 and an oil change was performed in preparation for sale. The seller reports the engine needs to warm up in order to idle without the choke engaged.
