This Cadillac Series 62 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1960 Cadillac Series 62 convertible was refurbished under prior ownership with a repaint in green over a refreshed green leather interior. It is powered by a 390ci V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes a green soft top, a four-barrel carburetor, steel wheels with full covers, power-assisted brakes and steering, chrome-finished trim, a power-adjustable front bench seat, and a push-button radio. An oil change was performed and the spark plugs and ignition wires were replaced after the selling dealer’s summer 2022 acquisition. This Series 62 convertible is now offered in New York at no reserve with a clean Arizona title.
The car was delivered new in Inverness Green Metallic (32) with a green soft top. It was refinished under previous ownership, and the soft top has been replaced.
The steel wheels wear Cadillac-crest covers and wide-whitewall tires. The brake system is vacuum-assisted and makes use of a dual-reservoir master cylinder, and the car is also equipped with power-assisted steering.
The car left the factory with green metallic leather upholstery, and the seats were reupholstered under previous ownership. The carpets have also been replaced. Appointments include power locks and windows as well as decorative door-panel trim and a push-button radio. Wear in the trunk carpet is noted near the hinge.
The two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, auxiliary gauges, a trip odometer, and a clock. The five-digit odometer shows 76k miles, approximately 10 of which have been added by the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown. The fuel gauge is said to be inaccurate, and the temperature gauge does not work. An auxiliary temperature gauge has been added under the dash.
The 390ci V8 is topped with a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 325 horsepower. Recent service included an oil change, at which time the spark plugs and ignition wires were replaced.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission.
