This Chevrolet C/K (1960-1966) got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1960 Chevrolet Apache 10 is a 1/2-ton Fleetside long-bed model that was refurbished in the early 2000s according to the selling dealer, who acquired it from its owner of 20 years in August 2022. The truck is finished in white and turquoise over white vinyl and green patterned-cloth upholstery. Power is provided by a 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and additional equipment includes 15″ Cragar wheels, chrome trim, a wood-lined bed, bed rails, and a cabin heater. This Apache pickup is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer in Iowa with a clean Colorado title.
Work completed as part of the early 2000s refurbishment reportedly included removing the body from the frame and repainting it in its current two-tone white and turquoise scheme. Equipment includes quad headlights, a wraparound windshield, dual mirrors, an eight-foot wood-lined bed, “Chevrolet Apache 10” and “Custom” badging, and chrome trim on the bumpers, side moldings, and bed rails.
Cragar 15″ chrome-finished wheels wear 235/75 Firestone whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by unassisted four-wheel drum brakes.
The bench seating is upholstered in white vinyl with green patterned cloth inserts. Additional equipment includes a turquoise-painted dashboard, rubber floor mats, a locking glove box, vent windows, a heater, and a floor-mounted gear shifter. There is no radio installed.
The three-spoke steering wheel is equipped with a John Deere-branded brodie knob and fronts a 100-mph speedometer along with gauges displaying coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer is partially illegible and appears to show under 12k miles, total mileage is unknown.
The 283ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt as part of the aforementioned refurbishment and features a blue-painted engine block, intake manifold, cylinder heads, and valve covers as well as rams horn exhaust manifolds. The oil was changed in August 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission, and the dual exhaust system exits behind the rear wheels.
