This Chevrolet Corvette C1 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023, reportedly from the first owner’s estate. The car is finished in beige over Fawn vinyl upholstery. Details include a color-matching removable hardtop, a white soft top, a single four-barrel carburetor, a high-lift camshaft, a limited-slip differential, an aluminum radiator, 15″ steel wheels, a heater, and a Wonder Bar AM radio. This C1 Corvette is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with transferrable New York registration.
The car is finished in beige and features a matching removable hardtop as well as a white soft top. Additional details include quad headlights, color-matched coves, and polished bumpers and rocker panel trim. Paint is peeling from the right-front fender, and close-up photos of the paint, trim, and imperfections are displayed in the gallery.
The 15″ steel wheels feature simulated knock-off spinner covers and are mounted with BFGoodrich Advantage Plus narrow-whitewall tires measuring 205/75 all around. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums.
The two bucket seats are upholstered in Fawn vinyl and are joined by color-coordinated door panels. Interior equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a heater, a Wonder Bar AM radio, and a reverse-lockout shifter. The shifter boot is torn, seams in the seats are separating, and photos showing the condition of the cabin are displayed in the gallery.
The three-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket cover and frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,600-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 17k miles, a handful of which were added by the selling dealer.
The 327ci V8 was factory-equipped with a single four-barrel carburetor and a high-lift camshaft for a rating of 340 horsepower when new. Additional equipment includes an aluminum radiator, finned Corvette-script valve covers, and a polished ignition cover.
The stamping on the engine pad is shown above. The RE suffix is consistent with a 327ci V8 rated at 340 horsepower and designated for a 1962 Corvette with a four-barrel carburetor, a high-lift camshaft, and a manual transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age. It is being sold on transferrable New York registration.
