This Buick Wildcat got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1963 Buick Wildcat was purchased by the seller five years ago, reportedly from its first owner, and is finished in burgundy over a black vinyl interior. Power comes from a 401ci V8 paired with a 2-speed automatic transmission, and an aftermarket air conditioning system has been added. The seller used the car to compete in the 2015 Hemmings Great Race and states that it was driven nearly 6,000 miles over the summer of that year. This Wildcat is offered with recent service records, its original title, and a clean Kansas title in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in metallic burgundy with a white roof and a chrome-trimmed silver fender inset. The seller notes the presence of door dings and areas of thinning paint on the roof.

Buick rallye wheels are mounted with whitewall radial tires, which are said to be new. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering and brakes, the latter of which were fitted with a new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and linings
before the 2015 Great Race.

The black vinyl interior features bucket seats split by a full-length console as well as a tachometer, a pushbutton Sonomatic AM radio, and a Vintage Air aftermarket air conditioning system. The top of the dash pad is damaged, while the seller states that the headliner has been replaced. The aluminum-faced dash houses instrumentation including a 5-digit odometer which shows approximately 83k miles.

The 401ci Nailhead V8 is mated to a 2-speed Dynaflow automatic transmission. Service prior to the 2015 event is said to have included rebuilds of the transmission and carburetor as well as installation of a new timing chain and gear, water pump and hoses, and Pertronics ignition. An oil change was reportedly performed a year ago.
