360-Powered 1963 Plymouth Valiant V-200 2-Door Sedan 4-Speed

This 1963 Plymouth Valiant V-200 two-door sedan was modified under prior ownership approximately 15 years ago with work that involved installing a 360ci V8 crate engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission, refinishing the car in black, and retrimming the interior in red vinyl upholstery. The car is further equipped with a limited-slip rear differential, front disc brakes, Torq Thrust–style 15″ wheels, CalTracs traction bars, a 3″ mini-tub kit, an Edelbrock carburetor, short-tube exhaust headers, FlowMaster mufflers, bench seats, a driver-side mirror, and a Hurst shifter. The seller acquired the car in mid-2022, and subsequent work is said to have included replacing the carburetor, alternator, intake-manifold gaskets, spark plugs, coolant hoses, and drive belts. This modified Valiant is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, service manuals, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in black and reportedly was repainted under prior ownership by Quigley’s Auto Body in Lake Forest, California. The chrome-finished bumpers and trim are said to have been refurbished at that time. The car lacks windshield wipers, and the seller notes a gap around the windshield and rear-window trim as well as a spot of touch-up paint behind the right-rear wheel.

Silver-finished Torq Thrust–style 15″ wheels feature polished lips and are mounted with 5.60-15 Firestone tires up front and 29×12.50″ Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires at the rear. Extended lug studs were installed at the rear, and the suspension has been modified and features CalTracs traction bars along with a 3″ mini-tub kit. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

The bench seats are trimmed in red vinyl upholstery, which extends to the door and side panels and is said to have been redone by Auto Interiors of Mission Viejo in California. Red carpeting and a split front seatback are complemented by carpeted red floor mats, a Hurst shifter, polished doorsill plates, and aluminum dashboard trim. Lap belts are included in the sale but are not installed. Imperfections around the driver-side vent window are pointed out in one of the seller’s accompanying videos.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 110-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The seller notes that the speedometer is noisy. The five-digit odometer shows 47k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
