This 1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL two-door fastback is finished in aqua over a matching interior and power is provided by a replacement 427ci V8 mated with a four-speed manual transmission and a 9-inch rear axle. Equipment includes an Edelbrock intake manifold and two four-barrel carburetors, Mallory electronic ignition, a fiberglass teardrop hood, power steering, and 15″ steel wheels as well as adjustable rear coilovers, aftermarket air conditioning, Dolphin instrumentation, a Hurst shifter, and a Dual CD stereo. The car was refurbished under previous ownership and acquired by the selling dealer in 2022. This Galaxie 500XL is offered with a clean Indiana title listing the car as a 1964 Ford with an “Unknown” model name.
The body is finished in aqua and is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. Features include a fastback roof, a fiberglass teardrop hood, 427 badging, chrome bumpers and trim, tinted window film, and a dual-outlet exhaust that exits below the rear bumper.
The 15″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and are mounted with Cooper Cobra Radial G/T white-letter tires. The car is fitted with power steering and adjustable rear coilovers, and braking is handled by hydraulic drums at all four corners.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in two-tone aqua vinyl along with a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes air conditioning, a center console, a Hurst T-handle shifter, polished door sills, lap belts, and Bluetooth-capable Dual CD stereo.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a Dolphin 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, battery voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 19k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 427ci side-oiler V8 features a Mallory electronic ignition, an aluminum radiator, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and dual four-barrel carburetors, and a chrome air cleaner assembly, radiator cover, and finned valve covers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 9-inch rear axle. A dual exhaust system with a crossover pipe and Flowmaster muffler has been installed.
The vehicle warranty tag is missing from the door.
