This 1964 Ford Thunderbird was originally purchased by the seller’s grandfather at E.S. Evans Garage in West Virginia in 1964. The original owner’s wife acquired the car after his passing in 2015, and the car has since stayed in the family and currently shows 113k miles. Finished in Caspian Blue over a teal interior, this Thunderbird features a landau roof and white wall tires. The 390 ci V8 is mated to a 3-speed automatic. The seller reports that over $50k was spent in the 1990s overhauling the engine and interior. This T-bird is now offered with the original invoice, keys, manual, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s grandmother’s name.
The body is finished in Caspian Blue and features a black landau top. The tinted glass and fender shields were originally optioned for $43 and $26.60, respectively.
15″ wheels wear polished hub caps and are mounted with white wall tires.
The teal interior features a convenience control panel, a wood-trimmed dashboard, and a powered driver seat. The seller reports that the roof sometimes leaks during heavy rains.
The 2-spoke swing-away steering wheel features a Thunderbird emblem and wood rim. Instrumentation includes a linear 120 mph speedometer and a rolled-over 5-digit odometer showing 13k miles.
The 390 ci V8 is mated to a Cruise-o-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission. Accents include Thunderbird-branded valve covers and a gold-finish air cleaner. The seller states that an oil change and brake service were last done in 2017.
The original invoice list the options as well that the total price of $5,086.10. The family’s 1959 Thunderbird was traded in for a value of over $2k.
