This Plymouth Barracuda got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1964 Plymouth Barracuda has been refinished in red over a matching interior and is powered by a 225ci slant-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes a pushbutton shifter, an AM radio, and a woodgrain steering wheel. The engine was rebuilt in 2014 along with a replacement carburetor, water and fuel pumps, and other new parts. The alternator, control arms, and suspension bushings have also been replaced and the steering box overhauled according to the seller. This Barracuda is offered with a spare set of hubcaps and a clean South Dakota title in the seller’s name.

The seller states that the body was given a driver-quality repaint in its current red under previous ownership. The paintwork and bright trim are shown up close in the gallery below, including pitting on the rear window molding. The left door is said to close easier with the window down.

Steel wheels wear replacement full covers and are mounted with 13″ Firestone whitewall tires. A spare set of hubcaps is included in the sale. The car is equipped with unassisted steering and brakes, and the seller states that a rebuilt steering box has been installed and rear air shocks have been added.

The red interior features front bucket seats along with a folding rear bench, an AM radio, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a pushbutton shifter. Factory instrumentation includes fuel level, amperage, and temperature gauges as well as a 110-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 73k miles, with total mileage unknown.
